I am in a bit of shock right now. Since going on the BTD last week I have lost 10 lbs. (10 lbs and this is only the beginning of my fifth day!) I know my body is cleansing itself of many toxins but I never dreamed I would lose more than 2 pounds a day. It's almost embrassing to admit, because now you guys know that my body has a lot to lose. I'm on cloud nine though...does weight usually fall off this fast for type A? |

Page, I am sooooooo happy for you. My husband's weight (he's an A) didn't come off quite that fast but for the first time he was able to lose. There's nothing like struggling to lose and thinking that one is eating right and not being able to get those pounds off. Congratulations to you for following the BTD and I'm certain you have the impetus to keep following it since you're having such wonderful results! Keep us posted! |

When I first began to follow the BTD in earnest, I dropped 28 pounds in about 3 weeks. I was NOT dieting, but I was absolutely staying away from any avoids, and focusing on beneficials about 75%. That tapered off at what is my ideal weight, and has pretty much remained there as long as I maintain a moderate amount of consistent exercise. |

I'll bet you don't have as much weight to lose. It's probably harder for your body to find extra weight to dump. Mine is finally cleaning itself out. I can feel that I am not retaining water the way I normally do and I am focusing on eating as many highly beneficial foods as I can. It's probably all water weight but it feels so good. It's like I have started down the right path and there's no turning back now buddy. |

My dear, I have to confess and admit that the weight loss issue was just an excuse to bring forward the magic word: 'cafe'... I've been racking my brains half of this Yom Kippur about how to approach you on this subject... Although fat-burning, I believe that it does at the same time something very bad to the blood itself... as if there's a cage (Kaefig ?) within, that won't let optimal flow and progress to be. Potentially they exist in there, and would show up - if not for the mythological beverage. At least in my childhood home coffee was more a myth, custom and ritual than anything else. Following my own nature, my only way was to 'slip' out of it almost unconsciously, like in a daydream, and by no means as a result of a decision. "One morning I found myself" after 48 hours w/o coffee (after a weekend) and continued from there... but had to do a lot of self persuasion (selbst Ueberzeugung?) before that. Yael |

Lay this one to rest and eventually pick a new one like green tea. Green tea leaves the mouth fresh unlike oily café. The variations of green tea require a clean palette in order to savour the nuances. |

It will almost definitely slow down quite a bit, but keep on doing your A diet and you should continue along the right track. Contrary to popular belief, I have observed over time spent in this cybercommunity that Type A's often melt off the pounds faster than Type O's, espeically Type A secretors. Especially Type A1 secretors, if you really want to get specific. Anyway: whatever you are doing, keep doing it! I'm proud of you for how amazing you are doing! You must be eating beneficials as well as avoiding the avoids, and doing the appropriate A exercise. Good job, girl! |
