Hi All, my DH and I are starting on week #4 today.  I just want to say a big thank you to all that have encouraged us along the way   Last night, after having dropped our son off at the airport (another post all together) in the morning, we decided to go out to eat.  Feeling that a nice steak dinner was in order, we went to the Out Back.  We had a really yummy beef steak filet with a baked sweet potato and nice steamed veggies. And the waitress asked us about our special diet.  She was more than a little interested which was very exciting for us!!!   I told her this was only the end of our third week and we were at least 50% better than we were prior to the BTD.  I looked at my DH to see if he agreed that his health had improved that much, he readily agreed.  With him having RA and having fibro myself, 50% is like a new lease on life!!!! I was able to reduce my medication for the second time Sunday night (my Dr has given his OK to me self adjusting), but my DH can't reduce his without Dr approval considering the type of medications he is on. With the exception of Prilosec. This is the week of no coffee for him after weaning off the past 3 weeks. At the end of this week, he is going to try to not take that.  Between switching to green tea instead of coffee and the pineapple juice instead of OJ, I am confident he will be able to stop taking it.    It is so very excited to be so much healthier. And to see the progression is awsome.  We have even taken to eating our meat cooked medium, as opposed to very well done, as we alway have in the past.  And actually liking it   something I NEVER thought would happen   Next step, Fish/seafood.   another thing I never thought would happen....so we'll see

A hearty thank you and hug, hug to everyone on the board
