Over the past three years, I've followed three other diets, with considerable success, but it was Dr. D'Adamo's diet that has worked the best, and with the least effort.
Until the Blood Type Diet, I had been following an alkaline/cleanse/probiotic diet, with considerable manipulation in order to keep my weight down, and I always seemed to lack energy and happiness.
I'm a type O, and all my life I've been told that red meat is bad for me. Well, as soon as I read the logic (which is the most important part) behind eating red meat in Dr. D'Adamo's book, I began eating it with enthusiasm... And I can't tell you how much better I've been feeling.
My body fat is melting off... I'm hardly needing sleep... I'm having none of my intestinal problems whatsoever... I've never felt so good!
In fact, I had been on D'Adamo's diet for only three or four days, and feeling great, when I thought I had a craving for goat's milk!
Well, I bought a quart and drank it down, just last night...
AND, right away it possessed me like a devil. I had THE worst gas and cramping I'd had in a long, long time. The noises my gut was making, was beyond belief... I finally broke down and took a Benadryl, and the pains subsided a bit so I could sleep.
This morning I woke up and resumed my Type O eating, and immediately felt great again.
This only goes to prove that you periodically have to try venturing out and trying something different, in order to gather hard, painful evidence that your proper path, is really your proper path.
Welcome from another O! Yes, we feel so much better when we're good, and yes, those little off-BTD binges (a whole quart!?) always seem to provide that kick-in-the-pants back to being good little O's. That is, of course, til the next dietary naughtiness *lol* ! Enjoy this website, you'll learn tons and tons. A couple of the wonderful things are learning of others' similar experiences to the good and bad, feeling you have a support network to help you improve and learn. Ronagon, welcome!! I too tried some different diets mainly to feel better. The Zone was the closest I ever came to "feeling good". I did Sunrider for a year...........nothing but spending ALOT of money. BTD, almost instant gratification. Spent no money on supplements even, just changed the foods I ate. What a hoot!! BTW, your original post would make a great addition to the "Testimonials" section.

Good work! I remember in my first month I had milk/cheese cravings which I thankfully limited to a bit of mozzerella. Looking back even that bothered me a little.
