I suffered from 24/7 migraine headache pain for 7 years before starting this diet. A friend gave me the book. Because no doctor or pill or Demerol shot could alleviate the pain, I was desperate and willing to give anything up. I ate meat, potatoes, tomatoes, wheat and did not realize they were sooooo bad. After five days on the diet, there was such a reduction in my pain that I thought I was imagining things since I didn't know what it was like not to have pain, but after the 7th day, I was sure I had no pain in my head.
I also had bad, bad constipation for 20 years. Thought I had to live with it too. It is 90 percent improved. I wonder if I should eat chicken. I think it hurts me.
I also had recurrent sinus infections every 3, 4 months and on antibiotics.
There's no going back. I don't miss any of the avoids. This was the best thing I ever did. I lost two dress sizes and I haven't had to see a doctor for anything in the last two years. I don't get sick with anything, no matter what's being passed around.

Thanks for sharing. Just yesterday I got a phone call from a friend who suffers from sever migraines as well. She is O.
I gave her the book 2 months ago. Rather than following she prefered to spend lots of $ on a personalized food sensitivity analysis based on the reaction of food on her blood.
She called me yesterday to tell me they were not the same results other than wheat and dairy. She was asking my advice as to which to follow. Obviously if I would have thought a personilized test would have been better I would not have bothered with ER4YT and a loaf of sprouted wheat bread, on my expense.
I will not bother calling her back but you set my mind in peace. I already new but it is good to be remainded of the beauty of BTD.
sapplegate, That's so fantastic! Thank you for sharing your inspiring story, and may your healing continue to get even better as the years pass. I also think Dr. D has introduced us to something that works miracles.

Thank you again.
Susana,
I had a similar experience right before I came to the BTD to stay (which is why I started in 1998, but then faded away, then came back again). I had my blood tested for food insensitivities and out of 150 foods, 5 came back as avoids: cow dairy, almonds, egg yolks, egg whites, and navy beans. I gave up these foods for almost two years before being reintroduced to the BTD. BTW, I was on this modified eating program when I had my last great asthma attack, and since I've been compliant on the BTD, I've been almost asthma-free. Actually, I haven't had an attack in two years; pretty soon, I might have to give up the idea that I have asthma at all!
Unfortunately, sometimes folks have to find out for themselves (like I did). There was no telling me, uh-uh. My friend was on the BTD during the time I was not (she's an O sec and when she's compliant, her Crohn's disease is in remission), and she wanted me to try again. But I had to do it out the hard way.
