I have always eaten what I wanted to (everything wrong for my blood type) and I thought I was superhuman with no allergies. I have always needed dandruff shampoo, motrin, antibiotics and most recently paxil. I grew up having ear infections, strep throat, dandruff, depression and migraines to name only the big problems. I have always seen a doctor for my ailments and been sad that most of them know very little. (I don't mean to offend anyone but I have walked out of many doctors offices feeling let down.) Only one doctor have I seen that actually pulled out a huge old medical journal to help diagnose my migraines. In his book it mentioned different food allergies but my parents said no she has no food allergies. And my cure was not found for another twenty years!
I tried the "Protein Power" diet and that helped lose weight but I still had all the problems. Of course I was eating lots of dairy still. Then I found the BTD. I figured out that if I eat right for my blood type I will not have any of my life long problems anymore. I actually feel like crying when I think about this. I suffered for so long and this was the cure?! WOW!
Now I eat right for my blood type and keep my carbs low to lose those pregnancy fat stores. I feel like a top athlete ready to run. I rock climb, jog and love to lift weights. I am anxious to see if I can clean out my medicine cabinet. My goal is to throw away all the Over the Counter drugs in there.
I am convinced that doctors keep the BTD a secret so they are not out of a job. We all need a doctor when we break a bone etc but do we really need them for everything?

You have a wonderful testimony! Eating foods that are genuinely good for you makes a huge statement to you and those around you. Keep up the good work and you will eliminate those OTC meds. I tend to agree that most medical professionals really don't want to cure what ails you. If they did that, well, what do you think would happen to their client base? |

If you don't throw them away now, in a couple years you may realize they all expired without being used! Other than a small supply of basic first aid medicines, and a variety painkillers for visitors, I don't keep much on hand anymore.
Did that sound weird..."painkillers for visitors" not that I torture visitors or anything, it's just that other people seem to always have headaches or something wherever they go, and each one prefers a different OTC medicine: Aspirin, Tylenol, Advil, etc. |

Carroll-wonderful that you have found BTD. Lots of energy is great isn't it. And wow-one of each of the four blood types in your household. And yes, I agree with you and Northernstars-if we all ate BTD there wouldn't be much call for GP's, etc. Would be nice if there were more ND's around though. Debra |

Caroll, Clearing out the OTC meds is also a goal of mine, but I am also gradually stocking my medicine cabinet with natural remedies. I'm working on have the top one or two items from the most relevant (to my usual problems) protocols on hand. Another thing I'm working on is detoxing my environment by switching to more natural personal care and cleaning products. |

Great post, Carrol! Wow, meal planning must be a real challenge in your household! (And I'm whining when my father comes to visit - I love it when he visits, mind you, but cooking for 3 instead of only 2 blood types makes my head spin! ) And you have a lovely Giant Schnautzer on the O nonnie diet! I'm married to an orthopaedic surgeon....I've been fighting my arthritis in my knee with the BTD....my husband has seen HUGE changes in me since I gave up being a vegetarian since I am 0....
HE, however, won't follow the diet.... he has numerous respiratory problems, sleep problems, weight problems, all of which I am convinced are due to the things he eats... I wish he'd follow my path, but you can't MAKE someone. I think he eats things that are around te hospitals, despite the fact that I pack his lunch every day.
I am lucky.. I have recently found a physical therapist who lives by the BTD who is getting my knees back into shape.. I've conqured all my "avoids" now, so it's just a matter of time till I feel like my arthitis will be under control.
For the last year or so he's been very strict on his patients regarding their lifestyles. He's told them they must take control of their health.. NOT depend on a pill.. it's a lifestyle thing...I'm going to win him over eventually to the BTD... just wait!! |

Dear Carroll so good to hear your story. It has taken me a long while to get here and consequently I have too many illnesses and too many drugs (they want me to take more) but am hoping to leave them all behind very soon. When u mentioned your Schnauzer who eats like an O+ Non-Secretor I remembered something from so long ago it seems like another lifetime. I was sitting on a creek with a good friend watching his dog run up and down like crazy and into the water and out and i said "that dog is my Guru." Alas I did not follow this advice - eat meat and have fun exercising like mad - I was a passive and gentle overweight vegetarian at the time (carbo tarian) and I just sat there watching. It makes me sad to think I waited 30 years and a few too many health crisees to get here. But hey I am here.

Man, now I feel left out. I wish I could join in the fun, and throw out some OTC drugs out of my own medicine cabinet, but I don't have any. Then again, I've never been one to much care for medicines. You won't even find an aspirin in my house. My philosophy has always been to let my body take care of the issue, and in turn, my immune system becomes stronger. Only time I've taken any drugs (amoxycillin), was when I would have sudden airway constrictions (due to a mold issue). I would most definitely not recommend having one at 65 mph. Had one, but was smart enough to keep myself calm, keep control of the vehicle, and wait for the moment to pass. That pretty much told me it was time to seek some professional help. Glad to hear that you're on the fast track to better and greater health. Keep it up!! |
