Greetings to my fellow travellers.

I have but recently taken this path after a chance meeting with a wise man.

I am a Saxon noblewoman of the Kingdom of Mercia, I am blessed with two strong sons, Aelfhelm & Wulfric.

King Aethelred recently granted my family land in Mid Mercia and we have called our place Wulfruna’s Heantun.

It was during our travels to this place that we met a fellow traveller, he lived in a strange blue hut and called himself “The Dr”.

This Dr was wise in many things telling us that he had seen the future and had wondrous electrikery which allowed him to talk to people in the next village, nay even county.

He talked of something called the Blood Type Diet and we assured him that we already followed that type of eating by making Black Pudding and the like from pigs blood.

This wasn’t what he meant by the BTD and he began to tell us a tale so strange that our heads began to spin. I am of noble birth and well educated for a Saxon woman but I could not understand the Dr’s strange language, my serving wench and men were in awe of this strange man and listened to him for hours telling this tale of strange meats and vegetables.

Our regular food consisted of a trencher of Rye bread and a pottage of herbs and vegetables cooked for hours over an open fire.

The Dr took me to his hut and showed me many strange devices, one of which is this infernal box of electrics which makes words for me on a page of lights.

I have many questions to ask of you and will read all your tales before intruding on your privacy with my own questions.
