I started BTD on July 6, 2004. On December 14, 2004, I have adapted a strict 100% compliant A non-secretor diet.
Yes, Yaman, it's my new resolution and close enough to the New Year to count Just a tad bit of a head start I could also consider it a Christmas present
I had no problem with my cold turkey approach to ER4YT. Took to it like a duck to water. I whinned over tomatoes, but not the beef. Perhaps some of you can remember me pining over no tomatoes. As time went on... I decided I must be a secretor since 80% of folks were so I started introducing the occasional nonnie avoid like corn, kamut spelt bread, goat milk and goat cheese. I didn't eat a lot of corn or corn product... perhaps no more than 2 to 3 times a month. Goat cheese I ate maybe 3 times in the last 3 months. The kamut spelt bread was daily over the past 2 weeks until I figured it out.
My energy levels were declining. My nose was full of mucus constantly for the last 2 1/2 months.
I realized that ER4YT is basically good for secretors and nonnies alike since both set of avoids are observed. From that I decided well... I had been a practicing nonnie, only I didn't know it. It wasn't until I introduced nonnie avoids did the problems begin to show. It was natural I didn't attribute it to the food because I was detoxing after I stopped smoking. It wasn't until it went on longer than I thought was right that made me think it through.
Yesterday was 100% nonnie compliant. Today I wake up and my nose is clearer. Yeah, just like I remembered from pre-nonnie avoid munching days!! It's not quite there, but it's way better than yesterday.
I do my dry skin brushing and shower and notice... WOW I have energy back!! Way cool. Not 100% of what I had before but decidedly better... a good 75% at least!
I do my lemon warm water thing and feel very content. I pull up my spreadsheet and apply a couple of filters and discover I can have 52 new items!! Merry Christmas to me!!! And YES TOMATOES!!! and 51 more items that most of them I know and like. Not like I'm going on a neutral fest anytime soon.
I sit here wondering about that last paragraph and pull up the spreadsheet again and discover I'm losing 27 items and I'm good with that for the most part. The goat milk and mushrooms make me whimper a tad, but I'll get over it. I'm breathing through my nose, I have energy.
Congratulations on finally knowing your secretor status. By reading your post, you appear to be at the pinnacle point where you are comfortable and at ease with the BTD. Great to hear!
Finding out one's secretor status makes a tremendous difference if one wants to fine-tune and tweak their diet for overall greater health.

glad you're so forgiving! thanks! so, the Wheat of the food lists is not the Spelt or Kamut of the food lists, neither botanically nor chemically.
Thanks for understanding!! I just don't want to leave confusion lying around for newbies and others... pretty soon we'll be seeing all kinds of posts on other boards like, "BTD? Heck, they don't even know the difference between the GRAINS they list, !!"
I knew there was more than one reason it was dangerous to do too many things at one time... but 2 1/2 months going down hill, I'm desparate whoops I was desparate. It appears to be working
