Prior to going on the BTD I frequently had mouth ulcers. Now I only rarely have them.
I never really figured out the source of mine, but since you were not having them and now are you may want think about a cause (I know you have already done this!).
But here are some things that you might want to considers as triggers for the occurrence of the ulcers:
1)Physical injury to mouth at the location of the sore(I suspect biting was one source of mine, but injury might be from vigorous tooth brushing, abrasive food, poorly fitting dentures
3)Chemicals such as aspirin or alcohol
3) Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) which is in most toothpastes
5) Deficiencies in vitamin B12, iron, zinc and folic acid
in my case point nr 3 was the key!
since this morning i choose another toothpaste and i felt quite immediately a sort of relief, it didn't burn..better and better during the day and now i can even open the mouth
just yesterday was so painful, thank you so much, this little small world on line is a blessing.
