My mother, a type O nonnie, had aortic valve replacement surgery on Thursday and is doing quite well despite her age. What can she do to insure that her recovery is swift. Would appreciate some ideas in the line of sups or food. Thanks

Dr. D's Post Surgery Recovery Protocol would be a good place to start!  Good health and blessings for speedy healing to her.

I was going to post the link to the post-surgery protocol but Victoria beat me to it.

Additionally, sticking to BTD or SWAMI  beneficials during the healing phase (or at least once she's out of the hospital and has control over her diet) will promote faster healing.

Thanks guys, she does not really follow a BTD per se, but she does avoid most of the major O nonnie avoids.
