Anyone else get constipated from taking Phytocal A? It constipates me even when I just take one a day so was thinking of just taking half a capsule a day or stop taking it. I'm guessing it's all the calcium that's causing it. I'm about 98 pounds. Don't know if that makes a difference though. |

I tried it and I can't take it because it has citrus in it and I got a reaction. I'm allergic to citrus.. |

I have phytocal and was wondering if anyone has used it long enough and had their bone density tested to see if it makes a difference?
I also don't see iron or citrus. Where are you seeing those ingredients.

I have been taking Phytocal for years along with Polyvite and Polyflora. I only take one each day..the flora and vitamin in the morning after breakfast and the cal at night just before bed. This combo actually keeps me very regular. My bone density test from 2005 was really good and I will get another sometime this year.( I also do weight bearing exercise/gym workout/walking/yoga) I also take proberry, quercetin and collinsonia each morning and vit.d3 and genoma derma at night. I take cortiguard when needed and helix about once a week. |

Lin, this is very impressive...a 30 year old with osteoporosis who increased bone density with rebounding. I'm quite sure Phytocal, vitamin D, plus rebounding will insure a good outcome. http://rebounding.tv/osteoporosis-rebounding/ |

Cajun, Thanks for sharing what you take, and your exercise....you sound like you are doing a good job.
Chloe, thanks for the link...I had heard about the 30 year old doing the rebounding, truly amazing.
I'm doing a weights class designed for age 55+ who are working on building their bones. But I think I need to do more things, the class is twice a week. And I walk, but think I need to move more. Perhaps the rebounding.
thanks both of you, Linda

Jacqui, Sorry I forgot to mention i try to take an equal amount of magnesium as I've read in a number of women's articles that many women need equal or sometimes more magnesium. Before you give up you could try that. Lin |

If I am taking it in pill form, magnesium glycerinate and/or lysinate.
Twice as much magnesium as Calcium. Less when using Magnesium oil. |
| MIfHI I follow a SWAMI diet. |

PolicyChecker, In answer to your question, I try to take same about same amount of magnesium to calcium or slightly more magnesium. This was recommended by the Health Practice (Holistic) that I go to.
C-Sharp, I suspect I should be doing more magnesium than I am. Is the Magnesium oil, the spray on one? I have both Magnesium capsule and the spray. Always feel a bit unsure about what I'm really getting from the spray, that is a new thing I'm trying.
