My 11 year old son was on antibiotics this summer, and I would have loved to put him on a good probiotic as soon as he finished the meds, but I couldn't afford (and still can't afford) the Polyflora B. I try to get him to eat cultured foods, but he's a picky eater and it hasn't been happening regularly. I noticed some acidopholus in Trader Joe's today for about $5 for a package, which is within my budget.
Here's my question: is it better to give him the acidopholus or to not give him probiotics at all?
