Sciencia, Philoxicin and Phyto-D are recommended (on the bottle) to be taken "with a meal". It is my understanding that if I'm taking Bromelain for joint pain, it works best for that application if taken "away from food". Is the same true of Sciencia, Philoxicin and Phyto-D since my sole purpose for taking these is for arthritis pain in my left hip? When I look-up Joint Formula these supps are among others that are recommended there as being helpful for maintaining healthy joints. |

The usual recommendation is to follow the recommendations on the bottles or call DPN with any questions during business hours. |

enzymes (i.e.Bromelain etc) work on the food when you take with a meal. taken away from meals, they are free to do other work.
as far as i know, generally, vitamins and minerals are better absorbed with food (especially a food containing the supplement in natural form and/or the cofactors).
herbs, not so sure as they are a food in themselves.
you can always call DPN and ask. |

Thanks for your input. I will call DPN tomorrow AM. I have learned that the only way to get the desired results is to learn how to do it "right" and then do that way. |

DPN told me to follow the directions on the bottle. But,to definitely take the Bromelain away from food for the application that I want it for. It always pays to check with them. |

Vitamin D (Phyto-D) particularly needs to be taken with food containing some fat, for best results. |
