Did you know that the US irradiates the mail? I buy supplements and have them shipped with USPS!

Does this destroy my supplements? I can only imagine that herbal supplements are probably very sensitive to this.

As I recall it is only for governmental offices (I think that it includes zips starting with 202-205). It would be fairly expensive to irradiate everything. I do not know the dose used but it was to be strong enough to kill anthrax, which would not be good for seeds, live chicks, and other things sent by mail.
