I bought L-Glutamine powder today to help my gut (to put it bluntly). The reason I bought the powder was it said that it had less additives than any other form.
The scoop in the container equals approximately 2 grams. And its one scoop a day.
In doing research It said that if you are trying to clear something up in your gut you can take 2 grams at least 3 times a day.
Can anyone give me some information as to how much they take and if you take it for a certain amount of time or on a regular basis.
Thanks. I really need a prospective on this.

After reading threads (thank you, Lola) ) my opinion is:
L-Glutamine + Bloodtype A = a no-no.
It's a sort of BTD type math but I get the message!
I have the receipt and will return it to the store pronto.

As a BTO, I can safely say that L-glutamine works amazingly well for me, but I never understood (exactly) why until now ! Thanks Lola !!! |

I used to take it every day in hopes it would help heal my gut (before I started this diet) but it didn't seem to do anything at all. Didn't make me worse either. |

Hi Joy and every one, Is Glutathione and L-Glutamine the same? Can Bloodtype A take Glutathione? Thank you. |

rAW Warrior - Since you don't take it anymore I feel this is a good thing. If you read the links that Lola provides it states that Bloodtype A and Bloodtype B should not take L-Glutamine. It raises blood pressure. I already have high blood pressure and so I returned the powder that I bought. I had high hopes for it I'll tell you because it says its the best thing to heal the gut.
But like someone posted earlier they are an "O" and it works for them very well. Again we realize that the BTD is not a "one size fits all lifestyle". I ordered the Polyfora A and am looking forward as to how it works for me.
Wanthanee - They are both amino acids and there isn't much difference as far as I can tell except for the form. Since you are also an "A" bloodtype I wouldn't suggest you try it.

Thank you. Yes, I stopped using it a while ago when I noted that it wasn't really helping me. Luckily my husband is type O so I can just let him use the rest of what is left (which isn't much). So is N-Acetyl D-Glucosamine (the stuff in Deflect A) different? I assume it is. |

raw Warrior,
N-acetyl D-Glucosamine is a monosaccharide derivative of glucose.
Glutamine is a type of amino acid body makes and is one of the basic building blocks of proteins.
So, yes they are very different although it does sound similar.

Pretty sure L-glutamine caused inflammation for me... |
