Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this supplement?
I am researching for a number of reasons for myself and friends.
Thank you for any information.

What do you want to use it for?

The good news is that it is cheap.

Have experience with it, but not as a supplement. Use it as a natural control measure against crawling insects along baseboards and such, as I've found it to be a good desiccant for these pests.

CSharp...couldn't get anything on that site..
My friends and I are interested in all of the benefits proposed by taking a small quantity daily of the food grade...not the bug killer type.
It seems to have several healing properties and is about 89% silica.

Has anyone tried the food grade before?

In this instance it's one and the same, as I only use the food grade diatomaceous earth ...
Quoted Text
Nature's Wisdom Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is totally organic and safe. It contains less than 1-percent of crystalline silica. Some uses include: household pets, gardens, flower beds, field crops, grain storage and livestock feeding. Diatomaceous Earth is Mother Nature's product with no harm to the environment, pets or to people. Diatomaceous Earth is not an earth, it is the fossilized remains of microscopic shells created by unicellular plants called DIATOMS. DE kills by physical action, not chemical, by puncturing the insects exoskeleton and absorbing its body fluids, thus posing no harm to warm-blooded life. Moreover, on any surface, these natural pesticide products have a remarkable repellency factor. As long as it is present, insects tend to stay away, making a serious infestation unlikely. Also, the more it is used, the more an environment is created that tends to make insects feel unwelcome. Out of 600 deposits in the U.S., only 4 are considered "food grade" by the FDA standards.

Here's a link to a site I found that describes 'human use' of DE:

Thanks, C-Sharp! It worked.
Thank you, too, Conor. That is the first site I read before posting on this forum. I was just curious if anyone saw benefits from taking this.   Doesn't look like many takers?!

Thanks for sharing this. It is on a protocol list I am working on with a doc one step at a time. And judging from that page, I am silica deficient and this is going to be of great benefit. Wahoo!

Silica is probably not a reason it is on my list (just a happy coincidence). We're going after the bad guys. Grape Fruit Seed Extract. I'm also adding a little Gastro D as I feel the need.

I'm working on bigger issues than this.

Mercury, methyl issues, ammonia clearance, inflammation, not clearing sulfer quick enough, fried neurons.

Have some genes that are getting some help.

My body has become a great learning tool.

If I would have been born later and been on the increased vaccination schedule, it is likely I would have been "autistic"

Praising God for the knowledge and connections being made. Hooray for Dr. D, Dr. Bland, etc.

This is truly an exciting time in medicine.

I hope this thread picks up!! Recently I have learned that I am probably calcium deficient. It fits all my issues. (Celiac, severe menses, etc)  I had some food grade DE I purchased last year but never got around to using it. Anyways, been using it a few days now. Huge energy increase! It actually gave me insomnia the first 2 nights so I lowered the dose to a teaspoon. (It was over a tablespoon.) Another note to take is, my nails are already stronger and I have cuticles! In the past, my cuticles were invisible. Back before the BTD, my cuticles would separate from the nail bed and bleed. It is supposed to help calcium absorption and help strengthen bones. I have arthritis damage in my lower spine and bone pain in my lower legs. They don't bother me like they used to and I want to keep the recovery going! Oh, and more fiber like solid bowel movements.

Does anyone think it is a concern eating those microscopic crystals? Could they get lodged anywhere inside the body? Nettle tea is disgusting. I am open to other sources and would like to see more feedback on DE.

I also wanted to note that I had high mercury levels a few years ago and never completed the chelation process... (skin erupted and ND moved out of state.) I really hope this detoxifies mercury!!

I am on a low dose 1/8 tsp. right now to make sure not to overburden kidneys.
I am also on this zeolite product with gradual ramping up with dose. I have found it to be very beneficial... http://www.zeohealth.com/

I do believe the DE killed a worm. I had tremendous energy a few days before I passed what looked like a 1 inch or more piece of cooked rice spaghetti, perfectly intact. I have plenty of amylase in my enzymes and had not eaten rice pasta in a long while and the thing looked super smooth. I didn't care to examine it further, I kind of feel like it was a worm of some kind.

I don't blame you for not studying it further. I think I would have flushed as well.

About the low dose, that's probably a good idea. After all, it is a TRACE mineral. Did only 1/8 do all of that or did you start higher then lower it ?

My doc had me start at it and hold at it. Been on it at a few months.
