So, i have a history of thyroid nodules and hyperthyroidism during pregnancy. I have been taking the O multivitamin for about 4 months and the O deflect for about 2 months( 1 pill twice a day for both or half the dose due to finances). lately, i have this feeling in my throat like a shirt collar is too tight, but only on the left side. If i feel my neck with my hands, my neck doesn't feel totally symmetrical. So my question is, can the two supplements i am taking trigger more thyroid nodules or adversely affect my thyroid in any way? I will see a doctor eventually for this, but wanted to know if anyone else has any experiences like this.

The Deflect has bladderwrack, and I have a thyroid nodule history. Bladderwrack is now an avoid for me. Other forms of seaweed are ok though. I would stop the deflect for now. Hope you are avoiding wheat and probavly soy also. Amy, where are you in Jersey? My parents are still in Ocean County.... |

Paula, thanks. that is what i was worrying about was too much iodine sending myself into hyperthyroidism. i am definitely avoiding wheat and soy too. i really need to get swami, but it is at the bottom of the list of things! my lumpy neck feels less lumpy the past 2 days. i also have asinus infection/upper respiratory infection because i was overdoing it on the non-compliant cheese. it is possible it was related to that. not sure. i may hold off on the deflect for a while and only use it when i know i will be non-compliant. btw, i am in hunterdon county, middle of new jersey on the pennsylvania side. but also have relatives (on my hubby's side) in ocean county. |
