I'd like to hear... or better say read your own storry about the mentioned thema above....

as I can't havey nearly none of the chemical bombs....and a friend of mine asked me not to take the hormonal patches coz they are also that dangerous then taking oestrogen pills... he asked me to come along with ortho.gynest ovula- it's about 0,5mg's of  Estriolum in each ovula... but now I observed: E210 and E21 and Macrogolum 400 in each ovula... and in the infosheet it's marked that none of the tests have shown if this product might interact in bloodstream...but only should prevent the shrinking and drying from the vaginal mucosa.....so now I feel a bit insecure....but must be honest- I'ven't had until now any sideeffects....nor negative reactions but ask myselve if my late experience with that allergy might have a causa here with this product

or is it only me who is that scarry about hormon replacement therapy and their sideefects....

I have to say, I am unfamiliar with the names of the products you are taking.  If they are synthetic, I would stay away, if they are bio identical, I would make sure that I am taking progesterone in addition to the estrogen.

I am nervous about this type of stuff as well. Even with bio-identical hormones, it is still relatively new and no one truly knows what the the long term effect will be. But...that is always the case with new medications...I feel that we are guinea pigs for the first twenty years or so and then the discoveries begin, my MIL had so many problems from taking meds when a young woman for certain condition that caused her to have osteoporosis. Her heart was also damaged when she chose to do a study in the hopes of getting better from cancer. She just kept getting more and more affected and of course bitter and miserable and understandably so until she died. Look at the thalimide pill for pregnant woman, I'm so grateful to come from a family that does not like to take medication and over the counter drugs, my mom was nauseous during pregnancy but refrained from taking it.

Isa, Dr. D'Adamo has supplements for hormones, have you tried any of his products for this?  

A very light bioidentical hormones therapy is a lesser evil for some women who suffer a lot for menopause or for Alzheimer protection, when you have it familiar.  
My ovaries never functioned so  for me HRT  was rather good and without real side effects. I believe they should study more the overall effect on all body functions and all the body mucosae, muscles,  nervous system. I am totally against HRT pushed to women  that can have a smooth menopause and fortunately there are also these women.

Dianne, I gave a try to those supps. but without any  positive results
today I take orthomolecular units from Don Quai,wild yam and other products as a so called *meano-ease* formula from  Puritan's Pride... but even this....
