Lecithin is sold as a food supplement and for medical uses. In cooking, it is sometimes used as an emulsifier and to prevent sticking, for example in nonstick cooking spray.

Any suggestions on where
tanks!
Most health food stores, Nutrition stores, and a few larger grocery or drug stores. Also many places over the net. I would not be surprised if Amazon sold it. |

I just ordered some from Vitacost.com and like it pretty well. Usually, I order from Puritan but since I was ordering something else from Vitacost, I used them this time. I have been using Puritan's for many years. http://www.puritan.com/They have a big sale going on right now, too, that started a few days ago. |

Soy lecithin comes in GMO and non GMO varieties. I get the non GMO.
Fearn and NOW offer fairly cheap Non GMO lecithin granules. |

I buy Health Alliance brand non-GMO Lecithin. It comes in a brown glass jar. Very fresh tasting and it's in the form of a powder rather than granules, which helps it mix better. |

Well, I am certainly glad this discussion was started about lecithin. The source I had been using was GMO the last time I checked which was a long time ago. But, apparently, it isn't anymore. I am sick to death of companies using the same product numbers for products that hardly resemble what they used to be. Needless to say, they will be hearing from me about this one, as they have about a few others. It isn't hard to see why I have developed so much suspicion about what companies are passing off as good products these days. |
