Hi,

I see that Deflect has Gum Tragacanth in it. I think that's what I once took in a supp called Glyconutrients for a while 4 or 5 years ago. The stuff seemed awesome for a while, it enabled me to focus on interesting TV shows like possibly never before. I was able to forget my ADHD and focus on TV shows, and I loved it while it lasted. It seems that it began to screw up my GI tract or something.

Any chance Deflect would do the same?

Whitey - I've been using Tragacanth gum in my gluten-free baking (as well as taking it in the Deflect), and I am fine with it. If you google it, it has properties that help your gut. Now if I had xanthan or other type of gums, that is a different story...much pain, gas, bloating; all is fine with the Tragacanth for me and my O non-secretor husband. Perhaps it is other ingredients in the glyconutrients that are not working well for you?

If you decide to give it a try, talk to the folks at DPN and ask about their policy if you have a problem with the product. I believe they would refund, but I'm not sure and you should inquire.

I have the most delicate digestion in the world (well, next to yours, of course ) and have to be careful of what I ingest.  Deflect has been no problem for me.

Hi,

OK thanks. I'll give deflect a try, and maybe other things some of you have mentioned.

Does good organic bene fermented veggies compare to taking Polyflora O if I eat enough of them?

In general, probably yes.  For the long term, you may want to invest in one bottle of Polyflora O, which would last for a long, long time if you're using it mainly as a starter for your cultured veggies.  It is especially recommended because the microorganisms are the ones that are specific for your bloodtype.  My experience when I added Polyflora B to my diet was a real lessening of gut discomfort.  I use the caps as the starter for my homemade goat yogurt (not that I'm recommending goat yogurt for you).

Okay, here is what the return policy is:
We ask you to give our products a fair and complete test and for that reason we ask you to try the products for at least 30 days.
Returned items must be authorized by NAP within 45 day of receipt of your shipment. Please contact customer service to get a return authorization number.

They also say that they will only give refunds for "unopened, undamaged products." I'm not sure exactly how we are supposed to give the product "a fair and complete test" without opening the bottle..... Definitely scratching my head!!!

OK, sounds like a great idea. I have leftover Theralac that's 30 billion per capsule but it's probably hit or miss as far as the right strains. I was found to have low B Longum a few years ago.

Thanks for all of your help. I hope you're not getting fed up with me.

I had a good day today, I was thinking clearly and got quite a bit of things done : consulted with lawyer, got my taxes done, gave the rest of my avoid foods to my neighbor, etc.. I'm quite tired right now but I just had a good small supper of Wild Harvest sardines, broccoli, onions, and walnuts with organic ghee I just made.. I seem to eat smaller meals lately and then I'm more hungry at meal times. I'm going to drop a few pounds but I think I can handle it just fine. I don't honestly care what others think of the way I look. I'm darn sure I'm not going to eat grain just to put on baby fat so they won't think badly of me.
