Well, chamomile contains quercetin.............

Should I wait one hour with chamomile tea as well?.....

I suppose I should......

24 minutes to go!

This is a surprise! Livestrong says it got its information about quercetin from
http://www.worldofmolecules.com/antioxidants/quercetin.htm

But I don't see it listed in this list from there and neither is green tea! Of course, they don't say this is a complete list. And I can't seem to find a quantity from which they are deriving these numbers. Apples are sky high but I have never seen that anywhere else. So I have lots of questions about these numbers.....
"Occurrence
Foods rich in quercetin include capers (1800mg/kg)[4], lovage (1700mg/kg), apples (440mg/kg), tea (Camellia sinensis), onions (higher concentrations of quercetin occur in the outermost rings[5]), red grapes, citrus fruits, broccoli and other leafy green vegetables, cherries, and a number of berries including raspberry, bog whortleberry (158 mg/kg, fresh weight), lingonberry (cultivated 74mg/kg, wild 146 mg/kg), cranberry (cultivated 83 mg/kg, wild 121 mg/kg), chokeberry (89 mg/kg), sweet rowan (85 mg/kg), rowanberry (63 mg/kg), sea buckthorn berry (62 mg/kg), crowberry (cultivated 53mg/kg, wild 56 mg/kg),[6] and the fruit of the prickly pear cactus. A recent study found that organically grown tomatoes had 79% more quercetin than "conventionally grown"."[7]

Spring, thank you!

This is the site I usually use:

http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/Data/Flav/flav.pdf

The table starts at page 10, and it doesn't list chamomile. It lists green tea though.

The sources I found which mention quercetin contents of chamomile are:

http://www.raysahelian.com/chamomile.html

http://www.answers.com/topic/uses-of-benzoin

http://foodforbreastcancer.com/foods/chamomile

These sources don't give concentration data. I found them when I thought of having chamomile tea one morning, and checked.

What I do is taking warm water + lemon juice + TC first thing in the morning, then wait one hour for the mushroom extracts (+ green tea), and then wait another 1/2 an hour for breakfast. I don't exercise in the mornings, but being an early riser this is still very reasonable. There's lot of other work to be done at this 1 hour and a half.

This has been mismanagement and a big waste of time/energy. Who ever said I have to take the TC first thing in the morning?.... of course I don't.  So I switched the schedule, I take green tea and mushroom extracts earlier, after 1/2 an hour can have my breakfast and strengthen and free my mind , and only THEN I continue and calculate the time needed, if needed, before trehalose ribose.

What better example to how TC improves clarity of mind.

I agree with yaeli. My morning coffee (a diamond) is too important to me, so I've been having it along with a little something first thing, then later, I'll have the TC and ARA6 combo. Everyone is happier.

NO snapping at the drop of a pin.. But at least remembering for a few seconds.. Yes I am doing so.. feel quite proud of ME...

I have stopped taking TC for some time now.. have no idea why.. I always do that.. after some time I get tired.. AHHH I remember why.. grapefruit is acting up on me.. so I need to do lemon..

The other day I drank two glasses!!! of lemon with SUGAR.. I could have done TC IN PLACE OF sugar..

has anyone bought just Trehalose as sugar??

I never use sugar except in foods.. BUT now that I think of it I will do more lemonade.. IMMMMMGAINE if I was to drink water??? with TC and lemon..

I might even get rid of accumulated - holding on to - water retention.. because the body is thirsty..

Ok  time to get serious..

I wonder why grapefruit, which I like so much, is now giving me stomach issues like rumbling and empty  and reflux.. ?

I don't eat sugar, but I have used TC on peanut butter and on yogurt. It's just "enough" sweet. But I keep the dosage as stated on the jar: 1 tsp.

I agree 100% Yaeli! Sometimes breaking out of a mold is my favorite thing to do at the time!  And breaking out of worrying too much is one of them!   Logistics get on my nerves big time. So I just down my TC first thing in the morning, and when it is time for breakfast, no worries about what might be clashing with what! At around 11:00 I down some more TC, and by the time lunch is ready, I don't have to worry about any of that then, either.
Thanks very much for the links!

I keep thinking I will but get off on some other tangent and forget all about it. In fact, I hadn't thought about it in months until you mentioned it. I do want to try it on my flowers though, especially. I think some others bought it, but I don't remember them reporting on their experience with it.

I quite often wait until mid-morning or mid-afternoon to take the TC...

I have not.  I know that the other parts of TC are beneficial for my situation, so I continue to take it...

I get this when eating some beneficial foods due to the toxins being removed from the body.  The "junks" are really hard to digest, so give me rumblies and a bit of wind, etc...

I get awful, searing pain from eating grapefruit. Only that and only in my upper stomach toward my esophagus. Lemon is the same way. The more of it I eat, the worse it gets. I can eat clementines all day every day and not have the slightest twinge of pain. In fact, I just had three this afternoon. The first this year.

Plain trehalose, yes! I have some. I bought it intending to bake with it, but was not impressed with the results. I bake mostly with agave.

So I take a teaspoon of Trehalose in the AM in my grapefruit juice, twice per day if I remember. It does lighten my mood. It may not be as effective as Dr.D's TC, but I have a lot of it to use up before I buy more.

(Beside the point in this thread, but still) This is to me such an amazing experience with the BT diet/DPN! MOST amazing. I actually grew up almost inside our orange grove. My late father grew several kinds of citrus - as well as other deciduous and sub-tropical fruit trees - and we were very blessed. In my childhood and youth I spent hours on end squeezing (manually) liters of orange juice.

I am so happy now, that (a) I can have lemon/lime/red grapefruit and benefit from them, (b) someone else dear to me can enjoy Clementines - and benefit! Yummi!

Thanks, Yaeli, you are a sweetie!   Apparently all that orange juice didn't do you any harm!
I distinctly remember the first time I drank a glass of orange juice from ripe oranges that had just been picked off the tree! I was probably around six. It was entirely different from all the orange juice I had ever tasted in my life!! Delicious!! Wish I could still drink it.... I'm so happy to be able to eat these clementines, though. And I would be even happier if I could, also, eat grapefruit and lemons which are supposed to be diamonds for me. Especially, because they are good to eat with TC. I think the damage to my upper stomach and esophagus is probably something I will have to deal with the rest of my life.

Someone posted (at some point, on some thread...not enough TC ) that TC is best to take with ARA 6. First off, is this true (or did I misinterpret); second (if the latter is true), if I took them both in the same day, but not at the same time, would they both still be as effective?

I take most of my morning supps in a harmonia/grapefruit juice mixture, along with my coffee, then an hour later, I like a bit of nut butter with TC (but there is no room for the ARA 6 on the bread ).

Just down the ARA 6 straight from a spoon. I like it that way! Dr. D. recommended taking them at the ame time. When I get up in the morning the first thing I do is take my TC and ARA6 with some water because I am not tolerating lemon or grapefruit for now. I take both directly out of a spoon. When I first started taking it I had a lot of ARA Plus on hand so I took the TC first thing in the AM and the ARA Plus after lunch. I can't say that I can tell a drastic difference in taking it that way, but there definitely is some difference.

I think the damage to my upper stomach and esophagus is probably something I will have to deal with the rest of my life.......

I think I damaged me also.. more so now that I still have extra pounds on my upper belly (again)

Eating Beneficials is my cure, ... grapefruit is on issue if late.  so much so I forgot about taking TC for some monthes... SOOOORYY NAP and Spring@!

BUT when I took it my tongue had cleared up nicely.. what I never spoke of was that my tongue also was damaged to about 1 inch in on one side and 3/4 on the other and deep cuts in the front. - vilies all gone. (my dental implants and bridge work is the unspeakable reason) ............................

Today I took the container and pout it in the center of my counter to remember again!! to take it.  for the following reasons!!!

A)  TC made me feel light hearted .. as is reflective even in my postings here...  AND THE EFFECTS have not WEANED.. I still FEEL light hearted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

B) my tongue while a little more white (again) HAS HEALED ON EITHER SIDE!  It looks normal now after about 12 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!

The front deep cuts are still there, but I need to address then differently, yet there is hope!!!!

I am starting to take TC AGAIN..    I just added a spoon to my decaf and it actually made it taste better..

Never mind ... sooorrry - I again drink decaf.. if only I could find a drink I like better... sorry All BTD'rs.. I am sooo weak...

What I am looking forward to with the TC is to feel lighter = a new boost = to get on with starting over, to drop weight again.. TC will help in so many ways.. !!!!

I'm trying to help my sister avoid Alzheimer's and gave her some TC.

She's been using it in tea and coffee.

Are they totally cancelling each other out, is she getting a little benefit, or is she making things worse?

She won't give up either tea or coffee and she uses way too much sugar.  I was hoping the TC would lighten the sugar load.  Whatever I suggest has to be easy to manage or she won't do it.

I would buy her plain Trehalose, (via internet 2 pds for about 25.- but healthier) so she can use as much as she wants from her sugar jar... and use the TC as medicine Am and afternoon before 3pm..
