Goldie, if you had reduced the length of some of your posts about half, you wouldn't have run into problems so quickly!    Oh, well, have at it....... In a month or two maybe someone else will start number three! Or not....... It certainly won't be yours truly.....

The last few days putting magnesium gel on my heart I've had interesting dreams as well.  I hadn't connected that, Goldie, till I just read your post.  I'm sleeping better--like only waking up three or four times in the 10+ hours I'm asleep and it's easier to get out of bed.

I am so glad you are resting better, Ribbit. Hope you continue to get good results.

Spring this thread is the most fun.. it is so full of great suggestions.. and great results to read about.

Yes I am word long .. it is a good reminder to have me shorten my posts.. sometimes it just needs a good remind..

The problem I ran into on this thread is, that it was not going to the last past and I had to struggle getting there.

I enjoy your posts and if it was not giving you any grief then it must be my postings..

Let's keep up the good work ... enthusiasm is a good thing.   It's not every day we find what works for us. TC certainly does.

Can someone please answer a few questions for me....

My daughter in law's mother (80 years old) was diagnosed with Alzheimers in January and I was hoping she'd be able to try Trehalose complex...She's taken the information from the NAP site about Trehalose with her to the doctor's office for clearance....yet I'm well aware that medical doctors know little about this supplement at all.  And they ask lots of questions.

I need to know something I can share with her.

How is it taken?  I remember reading somewhere it's mixed in juice.. How much?  How often and what other supplements can't be taken along with it?  I remember reading something about COQ10... don't know if this woman takes that supplement...I do know she's blood type O...

Also does anyone know if there would be reasons why a person should not take it?  She has
no real medical issues, except for spinal stenosis for which she just gets epidural injections.
She's been given an Alzheimer's drug but I do not know the name of it.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

You take up to two teaspoons a day.

Trehalose complex powder can be mixed with water or juice if desired.

One teaspoon in a glass of grapefruit juice seems to be common.

A person taking aricept of other anti dementia drugs can also take trehalose complex if desired.

Thanks for your reply.....anything negative about it being taken with COQ10?

in addition to the above.. I would suggest not 'taking' it after 3pm? as she might get over energized in the evening..

It can be taken in a glass of water with a squeeze of lemon or lime.  I take mine in water with just a dash of pineapple juice.

If you want to supercharge it, add a little ARA6.

Just take it well away from Green Tea or Quercetin.

Black tea could possibly be a problem too. Green tea has 255 mgs. of quercetin per 100 grams compared to 204 in black tea. ARA Plus (veggie caps) have quercetin (120 mgs.) in them so be careful that you don't buy them for this purpose. That is what I am using now until I finish them up - away from Trehalose Complex, of course!

There is no quercetin in the ARA6 Powder, only in the capsules.

What is the etymology of the word trehalose?
Does it come from the Greek word 'run' or ' stringy hair?'
I see both words in the beginning of it.

This is from wikipedia:
Quoted from text
in 1859 Marcellin Berthelot isolated it from trehala manna, a substance made by weevils, and named it trehalose.
and here is wiktionary's explanation.

I sure hope not, sweetie!  This thread would not be the same without you!

No offense intended on the ARA6.  I tend to over-clarify at times just so that there is no misunderstanding on the part of people who might be new to all this and not be familiar with things that most of us know quite well.

Did anyone have EXPERIENCE with TC and Parkinson? -- I gave a container to a person and would like to be able to report good things to him now, ----- or here in the future..

Did anyone experience PHYSICAL (body) benefits?   -- besides the 'eyesight improvements' someone reported way above..

Did anyone else notice the white film on the tongue gone?  -- mine is so much better.

Did anyone have results on sinus issues?  --- How many month where you taking it?

Are you feeling emotionally more able to be UP?  I find it so, (like being happier) and had on interesting experience today.. : I was exposed to several nasty things and could have allowed me to aggravate me and then get a headache.. I sat on the couch and actually HAD A CHOICE of DECIDING to either aggravate and stew or do circular thinking, or somehow LET it be..

I think this choice was made available to me since TC.. (besides the lessening of headaches- because I would already have had one)  but the emotional availability of a choice is NEW.  Intellectually I could always - think through any issue- but the stress would come on soon enough.   Today I was able to make a better choice.. NO pain..  It's a nice thing to be happier--

For the last 20 years, I have had a great time cheering people through the 5K runners finish gate.. I love INDIVIDUAL efforts participants make to support a good cause.. and each paid 25.- to run, sweat and be in pain in the race to contribute -- Over 20 years the runners and sponsors contributed 1 Million dollars.

The funny thing is both of us were trying to do the same thing from both sides of the ARA issue! I just didn't want anyone to buy the capsules thinking they could take them at the same time as they take TC. I must say it is a pain trying to remember NOT to take the ones I have close to Trehalose Complex! And I don't doubt that the two need to be taken together to benefit me the most. So as much as I love my ARA Plus, I will be glad to leave it behind, and get started on ARA6!

Spring,

I have to give you all the credit due you for introducing me to ARA6.  So far I find it an amazing supplement.

More amazing than TC?  Well, maybe in a different way.  haha

Actually, ARA6 does exactlly what its supposed to do.  Trehalose Complex is doing more on an individual basis than I feel we all hoped it would do.

The data keeps coming in.  All of this, from a sugar.  I know, I know I'm simplifying it too much.  That's why its call Trehalose Complex!

Good one, Joy!! Yes, I never expected anything like the response I've gotten from TC. No way. At first, I was afraid my tackle-anything, roaring energy was going to be beyond what my older body would be able to keep up with, but I keep being reminded  over and over again that "beyond" hasn't arrived yet!! And another beauty of it is, as I've repeated over and over again, that my other supplements have taken on a whole new persona! It is 'way passed incredible!!

Take it one hour apart from green tea with grapefruit/lemon or lime instead..

Maybe for this one month while you are cleansing your BRAIN & BODY, could you change to some other drink and give TC the best chance to work? ....It is not the caffeine, its other things in the tea...

IF you will not have negative reactions to 'caffeine' changes, I would strongly advise to:

Go on this journey NAKED, with just TC, then SEE and FEEL the EXPERIENCE of your cellular life.

For me it was much more than just a 'sugar' I AM allowed to have it and it's GOOD for ME!

All the best..

Can anyone have black tea? I'm puzzled about why Dr. D. didn't mention avoiding black as well as green tea within 30 minutes or so of having TC since there is not a whole lot of difference in the quercetin content of the two. Maybe nobody is supposed to be drinking black tea anyway??

Santina, drink all the green tea you want, just drink it 30 - 60 minutes away from your Trehalose Complex! I have my first TC before breakfast, the next serving a little while before lunch or soon after (according to what else I am doing during the day) and another spoonful before three or four o-clock which totals about 2 teaspoons per day. This is what works for me, but you may find that taking it once or twice a day works for you. It won't be long before you will know what your personal needs are!

Just as a reminder, it is the quercetin in green tea that you will be trying to avoid or in any supplements - the two are great but just not together!  Trehalose Complex has no problem with foods in general. I hope you soon begin to enjoy the benefits of this wonderful supplement!!

The first thing I put into my stomach in the morning is Trehalose Supreme.  Then I wait until after my shower to start on other things.

I took a break from Trehalose for two days and the difference in my quality of life was very noticeable!  The contrast was a good reality check-in.  There is something about it that promotes cheerfulness and creativity.  It does sustain my energy nicely too, but the emotional balance is an amazing accomplishment for a mere supplement!
