Thank you Spring. As if to emphaziseand approve of it all, I am reading this over a bowl of cooked buckwheat I've boiled right now for supper.
I do love buckwheat! To keep my pancakes from having that strange greenish color, I dump in some carob! |

It is the dumbest thing, but I keep forgetting about lime! I can use lime one week and lemon the next, and once a month I can use grapefruit for a week. I love lime the best. Can't remember if the grocery has organic limes or not. Maybe they will start having them if they don't if I ask. |

The closest TJ's to me is about 75 miles away, but Kroger has carried them in the past. I just don't know if they do now or not because I had forgotten about them! That is where I get my lemons. |

The TC influence on me is very strong. So far I've had 3 tsps. This morning I'm taking a break, then will reduce to half a tspful x 2 daily, and see. |

I had to back down to 1/2 tsp. 1 time a day for the first several days... |

I can describe it as an awakening. Isn't this what life is all about? It is for me... I felt as if a bulb lit inside my head. Oddly enough, at the same day I also bought 2 new bulbs to replace the old burnt ones in the corridor and in the bedroom... I underwent a small mental upheaval - this cleared towards the evening, so I took my 3rd tsp... I understood that I must reduce the quantity when my night sleep wasn't exactly a sleep, as the Song of Songs goes: "I am asleep and my heart is awake". This only happens when I fall in love and there's a tremendous overload of energy. |

Yaeli, I was having so much fun with the "overload of energy" that I simply enjoyed the ride! Needless to say, I was wondering when I was going to crash or whatever. It never happened! I wondered if I would ever be able to sleep again. That was a needless concern too. I have taken a LOT of different supplements in the past fifty years, and I have never seen anything remotely like it. I think people may as well expect that it will change their lives..... Some sooner than others, of course. Nevertheless, I am a great believer in taking things slow and easy with a new supplement! It horrifies me sometimes how people will throw down a big "dose" of something they have never even taken before! Whether it is a supplement or medication, I start below the recommended amount. I have reacted to 'way too many things not to be careful. I can say that my reaction to Trehalose has all been good and definitely fit just right for every occasion! I would certainly tell you if it were anything different! |

My experience is that it doesn't take a lot to be effective. It is like waking up to life again for me also. More of a good thing is not necessarily better. |

TC is a medicine! I take it as such, in 1/4 spoon at a time on grapefruit slices.. .. if I take more, I feel it is 'scrubbing' my insides all over.. feels like it is 'cleaning' the vessel linings CLEAN all over.
I think I am better of switching to grapefruit juice with water.. The grapefruit seems to be becoming abrasive in my mouth... for a while I loved it ..
I don't know if the trehalose as a sugar substitute would be having the same scrubbing effect..
I do seem to have survived many days without headaches - or severely lessoned them. That is remarkable.. |

So, 1 teaspoon x 2 daily were way too much for the beginning. Today I didn't take any, have slept a lot during the day, and now I am not tired at all. Tomorrow I'll take ABJoe's way and will go 1/2 a teaspoon x 1 daily. Looking forward! |

Yes, it does seem like the sugar cravings have decreased, I,ve been jonesing for sugar since I got home home from vacation and that has been a lot better. Although the first week on it I craved grains really bad. Commercials for pizza almost drove me insane with want.
It is good to be forewarned! |

I have been taking one teaspoon twice a day since fairly soon after I started. It seemed that everything came together to indicate that I was at just the right place and time for this new "supplement!" Or maybe it simply seemed that way because Trehalose just happens to be the right supplement for any time!
I didn't notice any particular cravings after I started taking it. But I have lost weight, and that was without going around hungry.
I would love to know how people with Lyme Disease respond to it. |

Improved attention, perception and comprehension and refined sensuality. For example: I don't know how far I'll go tonight listening to the most fabulous performance of Mahler's 2nd symphony they are broadcasting right now in the Mezzo channel (European) - from a 2003 concert in Lucerne festival with Abbado (Mahler always p----s me off because he is painfully pessimist and cynical), BUT I can assure you, that never before had I such a clear, wonderful, rewarding experience listening to this magnificent work of art under the baton of Abbado, the most gentle and sensitive, heavenly talented, unbelievable conductor. Well this is no exaggeration. Incidentally, both Mahler and Abbado are Cancers (July 7th & June 26 respectively). Immense, sheer beauty. |

I just got my order today and I would like to post my initial impressions.
First of all, I would like to thank Dr. D'Adamo for adding this supplement to the NAP products because it is another pathway to healthy living for all who listen, learn, and benefit from his research. And to Spring for initially posting about this for all of us to evaluate for ourselves whether or not this is something we should add to our daily intake. From her post and the those posts that followed it didn't seem like a hardship at all.
When I'm looking forward to getting something from a supplement at first I feel if this is so great than more is better. After having read the other posts I see that it is an individual choice as to what works best and that takes time. So as a few of you already stated you are starting at a lower dose than the 1 teaspoon 2x a day. Let me say I see nothing wrong with that and intend to increase my dosage starting tomorrow probably to just that amount.
I took a little more than half a teaspoon at 3PM. No spikes, no surges in energy (that I was hoping for in a way) but - there was a noticeable mental/emotional shift.
The shift was that most of my attention (for a very long time now) has been focused on searching for what I want from the "outside",. For the first time, in a long time, I knew that being in my own head felt good and right. I have ADD and get easily distracted at times. ADD is not the only factor here.
Because of certain stresses in my last job, my environment, family issues, etc. I had a feeling that things were "out of balance" but I couldn't get a handle on it. Knowing this to be true still didn't help or move me in a better direction. I'm not claiming that trehalose is a panacea because I took one dose but I'm aware that the "shift" is significant for me at this time. It is subtle yet very powerful.
These are my initial impressions. More later.

Thanks very much for your post, Joy. After reading it, I have to say it made me have chills to think of the even greater potential of this amazing "supplement." The positive impact it could have on so many whose lives have been plagued for years with different difficulties seems immeasurable to me.
People who have suffered because of the needs of their teenage children and have found nothing to give them hope. I wonder if eventually it won't be recommended for younger children. How much worse could it be than seeing a child going around in a drugged state? I have a dear friend whose grandson has been like that for some years now. As soon as he was put on drugs, he developed black circles under his eyes among other things. Before that, he was the picture of a handsome, healthy child. Just breaks my heart..... To say nothing for what it has done to his parents, extended family and many other friends.
Thanks again for your post, Joy...
