If Trehalose is found in "sunflower seeds and sea algae as well as being prevalent in some mushrooms, such as shiitake..." & those things are avoids for Explorers/Gatherers...could it affect people of those genotypes, less favourably than others? |

I doubt that it is the Trehalose component that makes those items avoids... |

Spring-Thank you for your reply.I agree about how helpful Intrinsa is.I have been on Intrinsa, Ara6,and PolyfloraO for four years. My digestion has been good during that time. However, maybe there is an unsuspected problem that I am unaware of.This journey holds so many surprises.
Victoria-I will definately try your suggestion of reducing the dose to a quarter or less and slowly work up from there.I had tried just a half dosage several times to no avail. but probably not for a long enough period.I guess I just got scared that I was doing some damage to my system. Thanks for your help.

Patti, it is so true that we do get those surprises now and then! I have even noticed that the reaction to avoids, which I normally avoid like the plague if I possibly can, are much more noticeable since I have been taking Trehalose! Imagine that! For instance, I had some cheese that was a super food for me on the first SWAMI diet, so the other day I decided to have some of it in scrambled eggs which I love! (Even though it is an avoid for me now! ) WOW! I was almost bent double for about a hour with pain!! And that was so even though I had taken two Lactaid before I ate it!! I knew every step of the way where that cheese was until it finally got out of my system!! Before I started taking Trehalose, there was only a little discomfort that lasted just a few minutes. Mama Trehalose was simply looking out for me!! WOW! AND, BTW, cottage cheese which is a super food for me does not bother me in the least even though I eat it without Lactaid!! (I am super lactose intolerant!) |

HAS ANYONE bought plain Trehalose and used it IN what? any visble signs that its good for you? where did you buy it?
Patti welcome.. Are you taking the TC with grapefruit or lemon? are those on your food list?
for me the grapefruit is near a addiction.. I slice it in 1/2 inces and then sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon gofer the fruit.. several times a day.. making it 1 teaspoon.. but I was advised recently that I can have 2 spoons..
I ate popcorn on avoid the other day and almonds a diamond which give me heartburn.. and still I came down with Asthma and a cough from my upper chest, feeling nasty.. I took a antihistamine to avoid a nasal drip I felt coming on.. ..
I also have cold feet at least once a day..
I think all of this hangs together.. food first.. emotions second.. Like I wish I did not SWALLOW bad foods.. my bronchial agree.. I am a coward with some mental assertion issues, so the cold feet make all the sense!
I need to work on that.. BUT TC is going to be with me.
I did break up the addiction to grapefruit to one or two slices a day instead of a whole one.. just to put TC on that by itself. and with allowable pineapple and or papaya for more liquid fruit, seems to be less abrasive in my upper stomach .. I also make celery juice now..
I will order plain Trehalose from some place.. and replace it as sugar in the house.. making lemon juice water or tea maybe when it gets warmer..
So you see we can make choices.. and we learn from all of them.. all the best.. |

Goldie, before you kick the barn door down, I think you are going to have to bite the bullet and be your own experiment (or detection agency)!! Nobody can tell us exactly what problems we have in our bodies that Trehalose needs to address. For instance, I have just finished a Clorox job (horrors to the nth after my bad reaction in the past), and it is going to be interesting to see what Mama Trehalose comes up with in this situation, if anything. Will report later..... Okay, I'm back this morning to report that last night I poured sweat like crazy most of the night, but I feel fine this morning except for a very slight headache. Hopefully, that is the end of it..... I hate Clorox but sometimes there is no way around using it. |

I was wondering about PLAIN Trehalose to be used in place of sugar.. by the pound..
So far the Trehalose COMPLEX seems to really be helpful.. I would normally be sick from a number of causes.. my sinus would be bad and more for a week...
Instead I feel as if I can overcome this allergy to blossoming oaks and popcorn attack .. in just a day, two or three. I feel it is working to have cleared out the sinus much faster and allows for some less water accumulation.. But that is from the complex version.. I am pleased that I can actually tell that it works. I just reordered containers.
I am going to order the plain from one of the above links and then see what I could do with it.. like make rice balls with sweetness added. Or serve it to my friends as sugar..
NOW if I could figure out why I feel so cold by 3 am that my teeth chatter that would be nice.. or throughout the day.. why am I going from cold to hot and frozen feet again.. I am waiting for that to get cleared up. ---------
--------????? AM I having fewer HOTFLASHES?? instead of every hour and a half.. maybe only 3-4 a day? Could it be with the TC as that is all that I am doing?????

I have been on Trehalose for only about a week and a half. I noticed my hair ( I have very thick coarse hair), and skin are softer. Heels of feet, face and back of hands. Looks like a couple of scars are shrinking in size and lightening in color. Feel like I have a little more energy too. I think I will try mixing with facial moisturizer and see what happens. Dr D may have to sell this stuff by the ton, although storage could be difficult. Also wish they would sell in individual packets for travel. TSA frowns on white powdery looking stuff in bags in your carry on. Had a problem with laundry soap once until they tasted it, that was funny stuff. |

Thank you, yaeli!! I have been trying to find something salty to eat!! Now, I will be keeping a close watch on a few Lipomas (fatty tumors)that I would be more than happy to be rid of - we will see if Mama Trehalose is up to the job! I won't complain, though, if she is not because I have already gotten such wonderful results!!! |

I am telling one of my best O friends the wonderful news, she is around my age and recently has started to suffer from high BP. In addition her late mother had suffered from dementia, and she is quite scared. Having read this thread and having ordered TC (must by arriving within a couple of days), I've told her about it, and we are both looking forward. |

I can't imagine why it wouldn't be... One of the benefits is to assist in clearing nerve receptor sites, so they work better. Dr. D. talked about it in his 3 West talk. The link has been all over the forums recently, but I'll post it again since I'm referencing it... http://generativemedicine.org/blogs/dadamolab/?p=106 |

I know you are, and I am so glad you are about to start on this journey!! Hoping you have wonderful things to report!!! I don't think Dr. D. has ever been more excited about anything in his entire professional life than he is about all the possibilities of this stuff!! |

It may be the combination of the Trehalose and Ribose, but I'm experiencing a steadiness of energy that I have not been blessed with in the past decade. It is remarkable! This is not like the false energy from stimulants, but the calm, clear energy of youth. (Dare I even say that?) This is like a lightening of the fog - not just mentally, but physically, too. At this point, it comes and goes, but steadily is increasing over the weeks. And I'm seeing some lightening of 'age spots'. |

Just wonderful!! The only time I have noticed my energy lagging was when my blood pressure dropped. That is the reason that I am easing off of the little I was taking. (I mean I eased off the BP medication!!) At first, I didn't realize it was my blood pressure. I thought I simply needed to eat something. But when that consistently didn't work, I decided, "Hey! I think this is my BP!" Sure enough it was! Every person I know my age who has been diagnosed with high BP is on two to five different medications for it!! And they still don't work very well, and the side effects....!!!!! (sigh) |
