Hello everyone. I am thinking of ordering the Gatherer supplement pack. I am a little nervous because I am very sensitive to supplements, herbs, medications. Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks |

I found them to be great for uplifting moods and concentration, especially felt good after the oil one whatever it's called.
when my status changed to explorer it took a while to get a similar effect perfered the gather supps, so enjoy.
if you're sensitive do what i always do start slow half the dose or even a quarter and incease a bit each week, if comfortable stay on half a dose for a while. let it all happen slowly.
kind regards and more positive hugs oxo |

I did very well with the Gatherer supps when I followed the Gatherer diet before I got SWAMI and found out I am an Explorer. The supps made me feel calm and helped me shed the last few pounds I wanted to lose. Part of me almost liked them more than the Explorer pack but that was because that pack was addressing liver issues. |

Thanks Dianne. I would like to do Swami at some point, I can't afford anything extra at the moment, and I think I'll stick with Gatherer for a while. Yes, addressing liver issues isn't always pleasant |

I often (usually) take less than is recommended for many of the supplements. Others, I end up taking more as needed. Best to start with smaller dose and work up if you are concerned. |

If money is tight, you may want to skip the supplements altogether (taking the money you'd otherwise have spent on them into a fund to save up for SWAMI) and just follow the diet for now. Not everybody *needs* the supplements, and if you think that maybe you'd have a bad reaction to them, you may do better without them. |

I have tried not using supps at all and find that even a small amount helps so i would perhaps reduce to one cap a day but if i stop i don't feel so good especially the phytocal one.
even if i'm in a cash flow situation i still take one cap of phytocal and one cap polyvite a day or (exakta). and that cash flow is taking a hiding at the moment... |

If Histona contains magnolia bark, then yes. Excellent for Gatherers. |

The Gatherer supplement pack is $69.85, while SWAMI Xpress is $69.95
It seems silly to me to spend money on supplements that you may or may not tolerate, when for ten cents more you can get SWAMI and be able to fine-tune your diet. Then, if you want to order supplements in the future, you can double-check all the ingredients with your SWAMI list and be better able to avoid those supplements that don't sit right with you. You also may find out that you're a Hunter or Explorer, and need an entirely different set of supplements than the ones you're thinking of buying right now.
Also, be aware that the Gatherer 3-pack does NOT include some "basics" like a multivitamin, multimineral, and probiotics. You might do better taking the type O supplements rather than the Genotype supplements. SWAMI will help you figure out which supplements are most needed right now. |
