Hi, folks. This is my first visit to this thread, and forgive me that I haven't read it.
But I found the Title compelling: "Vitamins May Increase Women's Risk of Dying..."
How do you increase the risk beyond 100%? Every woman is going to die anyway. |

These types of studies are like the guy in the restaurant who's having a coronary and manages to trash the tables of the other diners as he goes through the death throes. How can something used as part of almost all biological processes and amply embedded in our traditional diets cause disease unless it is being used in an unnatural manner or in unnatural formats? |

I thought this was a good response to the original article. Why you should not stop taking your vitamins Favorite quote: "In short, this recent study confuses not clarifies, and it has only served up a dose of media frenzy and superficial analysis. It has left the consumer afraid, dazed, bewildered and reaching for their next prescription drug." |

If these "journalists" would use their time and energy to promote food that is fit to eat in this country, we wouldn't need so much help from supplements! Not only are most of the crops poisonous, but when it gets to the warehouses and stores, it is subjected to conditions that reduce it to pathetic, wilted, nutrient-free garbage. It is bought and brought home because they go to great pains to keep the outside looking fresh and appealing - propping the stuff up with lots of moisture and ice. Staging is the name of the game. I regularly threw out veggies when I had my garden that looked better than the best that I see around now.Yes, it really is enough to make a person sick! |
