Has anyone taken a T3 bio-identical thyroid hormone? I had my thyroid tested and all results are within range, but some a bit borderline, e.g. TSH (T3 and reverse T3 are good). My doctor and I decided that I go on a 2 week trial with bio-identical T3. I started today, and am keen to know whether you have any experience in this area. |

I take Nature Throid and it has T3 in it. I have done the bio identical timed release T3 from a compounding pharmacy and found that it did nothing to help bring up my Free T3/Free T4.
I am now using cytomel (T#) and my numbers are just starting to edge up for the first time in 5 years. |

That is really interesting, thanks Kim, that is exactly the one I am taking. So far, I have only taken 2 yesterday, I have been feeling warmer inside (it is nice in a way because I did not need to put on the heater last night, because it was a bit cool). Else, I have not experienced any other changes yet. |

I take T4 plus a compounded T3. I'll be interested in how you do. My endo just gave me samples of Tirosint (gelcap T4 with no excipients) So far pretty good. |

I am supposed to take one T3 with breakfast and one with lunch. I had late lunch yesterday and found that I had problems sleeping at night. Today I only took one T3 with breakfast. Hopefully I'll be able to sleep better.
