American, Red, Korean, Siberian?

Yesterday I took a Red.. too stimulating!

Then I took a Siberian... felt nice.

I didn't buy any American, so I can't try it.

I'm looking for a mild stimulant to get away from coffee and one to use when I have to drive long distances.

However, can one use Siberian everyday?  I have found conflicting information online and can't figure it out for myself!

It does seem that all of these Ginseng's have additional wonderful benefits when used on a regular basis.

For Korean and Red it says to take it every other day so that it doesn't build up in your system too much.

For Siberian it doesn't say much since Siberian Ginseng, (Eleutherococcus Senticous Root), is not truly Ginseng...

Any experiences and information would be greatly appreciated!!!

You could check "Indian Ginseng", also called Withania Somnifera. It is not a true ginseng because it does not belong to the same familiy as the ones you mentioned. However, it is highly regarded in Ayurvedic medicine as a strengthening herb and rejuvenating tonic.

Siberian Ginseng can be taken daily because it is a tonic, an adaptogen and it is not overly stimulating. If it's ok with your own food list, that is.

American ginseng can be taken daily.  It's an adaptogen and good for the lungs as well.

Chinese and especially Korean ginseng can be too much for some people.  Type B's can usually handle some of it if it is balanced with other yin herbs.  Type O's need to be cautious, in my opinion, unless you're a low energy, depleted, type of person.

I'm wondering now about Rhodiola Rosea and the experiences folks have had with it as far as improving energy levels...

Same question on Ashwagandha.

My Naturalpath recommended these for me... so any thoughts and experiences would be greatly appreciated.
