I have been studying the protocols and analysing the things that Dr D recommends. fascinating.
i did some analysis just for blood type O's and nonnies type O's.
Magnesium doesn't come up much accept in the number 16. so why do i read about people advising magnesium for everything?
for blood type O's it seems that a few supps are common to a lot of problems so i am concentrating on those the most.
ARA6, Bromelain, deflect o, fucus plus, green tea, polyvite, polyflora, proberry, quercertin, stinging nettle leaves, vit A, Vit C, Zinc. amazing what you can do In a a few hours. lol |

PC.. as always when you put your mind to it then you get the answers correct.. yes to all that you said.. and then separate out the ingredients in each supp and see which one are duplicated.. the buy only what you really need for a while.. I agree with magnesium .. I did much better with manganese.. but that was me.. you would have fun with http://www.ZYTO.com.. it tells you which sups are missing.. but in the interim we have the books and catalogs here.... |

just to clarify - i know that magnesium is included in Dr D's products but not as a single additional supplement.
I also wonderer why Dr D does not do a supp for Vitamin A, C, and Zinc, since he recommends them a lot and i would much rather buy his products that any other company?
Goldie Darling - I'm not so sure about those little machines you linked me too. But thanks anyway oxo |

Some of these type of supplements are available (or will be soon) in the personalized nutrtion centers. http://www.dadamonutrition.com/As additional stores are added some of these products may also be marketed online. But you should be aware the most NDs that sell these types of products are simply buying the supplements from another supplier, marking up the price and applying their label to product. Dr. D. seems to have resisted just selling standard formulations. So you will note that products like his Vitamin D are considerably different from most Vitamin D formulations. For the most part the online store offers formultations that are not commonly sold elsewhere. |

Many of the supplements he recommends are for short term use. People have a tendency to take vitamins forever rather then the short term.
I have heard him say that so many companies make these things A, C and E etc... why reinvent the wheel.
I see now has he moves towards national stores he will include come of these items.

I noticed the new line at the Williamsburg store. I trust their quality control so very pleased to see the additions. |

Another question on protocols this time the yeast one number 30
a bit confused
for O's it's BLOOD GROUP O
Caprylic acid, 350 mg: 1-2 capsules, twice daily away from food Clove fruit (Eugenia sp), 50 mg: 1 capsule, daily Standardized Chines Garlic Extract (Allium sativum), 400 mg: 1 capsule, twice daily Stinging Nettle root (Urtica dioica), Genoma EQ: 1 capsule, 2-4 times daily Bladderwrack (Fucus vesiculosus), Fucus Plus: 1 capsule with meals, 2-3X daily Polyflora O (ABO Specific Probiotic): 2 capsule daily Intrinsa: 2 capsule twice daily
however when you look at the contents of intrinsa it has caprylic acid in it so why not have it as the first choice instead of just caprylic acid on it's own?
does that makes sense |

To kill yeast, Dr. D stresses taking caprylic acid on an empty stomach. |

I've also been hoping/looking forward to seeing a good non-ascorbic acid vitamin C product offered by DPN. It's challenging to find acerola without malto dextrin or as a side ingredient to a standard ascorbic acid. |

PC, Dr. Nash prescribed magnesium for me and I bought it through the Center. Maybe they are just selling those types of supplements to their patients at this point?
If you are interested in supplementing with magnesium, you could read The Magnesium Factor by Mildred S. Seelig, MD, MPH, and Andrea Rosanoff, Ph.D. |

Thanks Patty - Sometimes i obviously don't make things clear enough on here, usually as I'm concentrating on too many things. I was just commenting on the fact that when i started analysing the protocols that magnesium didn't come up much, it just makes an appearance in protocol; 16 (female balance) which contrary to popular belief doesn't affect me I had noticed (without concentrating a lot of comments on the board regarding magnesium so it surprised me, that was the reason for my original post. i don't think i need any magnesium, although you never know... |

Here is a quote from The Magnesium Factor by Mildred S. Seelig, MD, MPH, and Andrea Rosanoff, Ph.D.:
Quoted Text
. . . magnesium is a necessary catalyst for all sorts of life reactions. Among the enzymes that have been studied intensively, over 350 need magnesium, directly, to do their jobs properly. For the sake of comparison, the minteral zinc, for example, is required for about 200 enzymes; copper, for less than 20; and selenium, for 10 that have been identified in animal studies so far.
IMHO, everyone should take magnesium. I don't think magnesium supplementation is dependent on blood type. Everyone requires proper levels of magnesium for good health. |

As i Look deeper into the supplements there is plenty of magnesium in them. It was just an initial observation. there are also a few supplements that are not in the protocols (unless i missed them. so perhaps they are not complete (with respect) genoma security and Scienca for example is not listed in the immune protocol. I use it anyway. perhaps they are fairly new. A - Thanks Lola I read that the more i read the more i learn. oxo |

PC, I am taking additional magnesium because of the premature heart disease in my family. The subtitle of The Magnesium Factor is How One Simple Nutrient Can Prevent, Treat, and Reverse:
* High Blood Pressure * Heart Disease *Diabetes * And other chronic conditionsIt sounds like you might be getting enough in the other supps you are taking, however. |
