I started my candida cleanse today after not quite enough sleep last night. I am an Explorer, and am not allowed acetaminophen -- the pill that works best for me -- on the Genotype Diet. I cannot Swami yet because I can't afford the Swami program this month.
Tylenol never worked for me all the times in my life I have ever taken it. Should I do aspirin? Looks like aspirin is a neutral for me.....

Make sure you're staying hydrated. Dehydration can cause headaches, and you need lots of water to flush out toxins/make a detox reaction go away.
But if the pain is really bad, it may not go away on its own for over a day. If you feel the pain is interfering with sleep, it might be better to take medicine and get enough rest, even though medicine itself may slow the detox process. Lack of sleep is really hard on the body, so I'd say that's first priority.
When I'm in too much pain to sleep, I generally take asprin then lie down. It's the only thing that stops my headaches, even though asprin isn't a great choice for me as an O with naturally thin blood. When I get migrane-like headaches, I take it anyway.
Other things that can help are pressing on certain pressure points on my face and neck (I kind of feel around and press against any spots that are feeling tender.) Peppermint oil on my temples sometimes helps. And limit the time you spend staring at a computer screen!
If you've already had a headache for nearly 4 hours, I'd suggest taking the asprin first and then trying the natural remedies. |

Aspirin or other pain reliever may not help...
When I have headaches, I need some nutrient or food to alleviate the headache. |

I'm fine, thanks. The aspirin was only needed that day, and it worked like wham-o within 20 minutes on my thick Eplorer blood. |

Glad you're feeling better, Seraffa! When I used to get migraine, absolutely nothing would work. What a nightmare that was. I could only lie in the dark and pray for unconsciousness. That's great that the aspirin worked for you. I get dehydration headaches, too, but those are cured by drinking water. Detox headaches also seem to respond well to drinking water and eating only superfoods, and REST, as Ruthie says. Sleep is the best medicine of all. |

Seraffa, I'm an explorer as well. I wasn't aware that we had thick blood! Is that a good or bad thing? Your comment made me remember my father making a comment when I was a teenager about the fact that a doctor told him that he had thick blood. And I thought it was a peculiar thing. So now I am intrigued. I've been thinking about my folks who are no longer around and there is a good possibility that both of them were non-secretors...and I believe that 2 non-secretors beget non-secretors? |
