My father is type O+ and I strongly suspect he is a hunter. I would say that he fits about 80-90% of the characteristics described in Dr. D.'s books.
My dad is showing major adrenal fatigue symptoms, including vitiligo that is getting worse. He told me he was going to see a dermatologist and I told him not to but get his adrenals checked out.
I looked through the ER4YT Encyclopedia and cannot find anything related to adrenals and supplements.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I got him some DHEA. He is about 70% compliant and on Nexium. |

Lots of vitamin C (taken with vitamin E) is very important (probably essential) for adrenal fatigue. Ashwagandha is also supposed to be very helpful, but I don't know anything about it's relationship to type O. The anti-stress protocol might be useful. |

Thanks, everyone! He tries to sleep early but gets up in the middle of the night. I think he has quite a severe case because he is severely underweight, vitiligo is getting worse, orthostatic hypotension, cold hands and feet, etc. He has about 90% or more of the symptoms for adrenal fatigue.
His internal medicine m.d. said he has adrenal issues but did not see the need YET to prescribe prednisone.
I would rather see him improve his health with supplements. |

Licorice.
Try to get him on an exercise program that he enjoys. It should ideally be quite vigorous, but that is easier said than done. Exercise is so very important for Hunters. |

He does about 4-6 mile hikes daily, sometimes two times a day. He is very thin and mom and I are scared that he might lose more weight. He is 5'9" and 120 lbs. In a way, he needs to conserve energy until he is better.
