My diet is clearing up beautifully as an Explorer but MY CORTISOL pushes me to BULIMIA ....HELP I'm white-knucking it....can't calm down with meditation cos the cortisol just circles round and round in me once it's flooded....is there any cortisol blocker mentioned here????? OH GOD I HATE BEING A VICTIM OF MY OWN BODY

I mentioned in your other thread--- holy basil (or tulsi). It is in the BTD Encycl.

Well possibly this will not help you just now, but trying again might be the best thing you can do for you.  Some days it is just worse then others.  Sometimes we need to eat in order to stop over loading.  I am convinced that what drives us to behavior is not the body but the portion of our brain that just does not get it.  I recently had spent my first days as on adult without ' hunger fears'.  It felt so wonderful.  There was quiet in me.

You are here making big efforts to learn .. I have little to add as I have little for me to fall back on -  and my issues are not nearly as complicated, as the frustration you are feeling.  I am here to support you, and to hear you.  

Yet, in a time like that could you possibly eat one thing only? I find that one item has less taste value, while to many choices make it harder.

All the best.. and now start your day over again.

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

Yeah, holy basil, you can get it in a capsule form from New Chapter.  It's good stuff.  If your stress, inflammation and cortisol is high, it's good stuff.  But if it really isn't your cortisol, it will make you feel weird to supplement it.  I used to take 3-4 a day, but now I don't need it.  For the most part.  Last time I took it I felt awful because I didn't realize that my cortisol was low.  And then your body ramps up to get your cortisol back up.  I thought it was mostly for inflammation (holy basil), but I learned differently.

Thnks - have to write that down. And I think all types of magnolia trees are beautiful! What if we made "Saucer Tree Tea?" !! Pretty.   Or maybe "Leonard Messel Extract"? Woo....I can envision people trying to eat Rainbows after this.

Magnolia is one of the oldest trees in the world!

I should check how much SWAMI costs $$ cos I'm forgetting a lot, sometimes. I'm just trying to do my utmost to choose Genotype superfoods or at least neutrals on alternate days. That way I can start rotating meats at a predictable pace, and remember what I ate on what day. If I don't see something listed in "toxins" I don't beat myself up over it.

The issue doesn't seem to be linked to the frequency of my meals, either.

You'll find the SWAMI-X diet very different from the book.  It combines the blood type diet and genotype diet and then it will also be tailored to your measurements, health conditions and family medical history.  Pretty cool hey!  

I used to binge eat as a teenager.  I was subconsciously putting a barrier of fat around me to escape due to issues I didn't want to face.  Counselling helped me.  Just a thought.  

Then again hopefully it's easily fixed hypoglycemia or imbalance in your diet somewhere?  For hypoglycemia, eat morning tea and afternoon tea or more meals a day, not letting your stomach go empty for more than 4 hours should help keep the blood sugar steady.  I like to snack on fruit (or yogurt and fruit before) while I'm cooking or else I'll get ravenous shaky and panicky!
