I am having major problems with the Teacher supplements and minor issues with the "A" supplements due to intolerances. I was wondering if other people have seen this.
The Teacher Catalyst contains Panax Ginseng, which I don't tolerate at all. Ginseng bugs me so much I don't like to get near it or pick it up. I take the other components of the Catalyst separately.
I also don't tolerate the Teacher Activator. It gives me severe, acidy nasal drainage that will turn into a sore throat. I suspect the Coriolus versicolor, which is a mushroom. I have learned through experience (hard won) that I don't tolerate mushrooms and have to pay attention to the Explorer avoids (mushrooms). I seem to be half Teacher half Explorer. The Teacher Activator also contains Probiotics that I am minorly intolerant of. Swami rates me as a 37% Teacher. In the Genotype book, I test as tied for Teacher and Explorer.
I also seem to be somewhat intolerant of the Polyflora "A" Probiotic. I cannot take this this at anywhere near the suggested dosage. I wondered in the past if this was temporary, but it seems to be permanent (so far).
I also have trouble tolerating the Polyvite "A" Multivitamin if I take it all the time at the recommended levels.
As an aside, I don't tolerate the "A" Deflect either. I can take it once in a while on a one-time basis, that's all.
All this makes it challenging to take the supplements regularly.
How long have you been following the diet? Do you think you are experiencing some "die off" symptoms?
I do understand, as I have some sensitivities to the supplements as well. I haven't been taking them daily and that seems to suit me just fine.
It's all one big adjustment. A lot of trial and error and constantly having to remember we are all individuals. That's why we are all here right We know there is not a "one size fits all plan" .

I have wondered about die-off, especially for the Probiotics. Haven't been able to ramp up the dosage. The Probiotics do bug me less than in the past, which is good.
I used the advanced tables and came up tied. Oh well. Swami, which I recently got, rates me a 37% Teacher. The diet Swami recommends seems to similar to where I was moving---a Teacher diet with Explorer modifications. The best foods for me, I have found, are the ones that rate good for Teacher and Explorer.
Every supplement I take, I break open, or crush up in order to take less of an amount than is recommended. Any supplement or drug can be very powerful in my system. I have to take things very slow to not overdo it. There are some things I tolerate in fuller doses better than others of course, but you just have to figure out what works for you.
But fear not, you are not alone in this. Even if I'm the only one that is like that. Which, I'm not. We're not. We may be the minority, but it happens. In all honesty, I think my body responds much better to homeopathics in general, than to supplements. But I still take some supplements because I feel like I need them at times. Last winter I went through a period where I just didn't really want much supplement of anything. But then this spring / summer I needed more. It goes up and down. If you can learn to muscle test yourself for amounts, that can help.

My body doesn't like everything in the Teacher supplements especially the Saccharomyces cerevisiae, lactobacillus plantaru, Lactobacillus bulgaricus probiotics. I muscle test weak on this formula and really feel it doesn't resonate with my body at all. In this case, I might be more blood type A than a Teacher....which doesn't really overlap Explorer. THe questionnaire of which diet to follow comes out about even between the BTD and the GTD for me, yet I follow my SWAMI..
I thrive on Polyflora A and Deflect A and do best by making my own good bacteria foods...I'm eating a lot of homemade fermented vegetables and add a capsule of Polyflora A. The issues I have with the ginseng is that I take Cortiguard which contains 2 types of ginseng and it's just way too much ginseng if I take it with the Teacher supps which also has ginseng. Sometimes it's the overlap of same ingredients which wind up being more than a person needs or tolerates.
I don't do as well on Polyvite A as I do Exakta which is the multi for all Genotypes. Subtle differences in the amount of calcium vs. magnesium in these two formulas and for me, Exakta is better tolerated. I can feel my muscles tighten up on Polyvite A.
I also take half the amount recommended on the bottle for multis and minerals. I prefer to get as much balanced nutrition as possible from the foods I'm eating.

Teachers have huge gut bacterial overgrowth issues.... getting those under control will increase your health.
