I've been on so many different supplements and what not for bad gut bugs over the past 2 years prescribed by them. So, it's been addressed. But in life, things go up and down. And they are holistic. They don't have a problem if I have a feeling or intuition about something that I run it past them, and then they either do some blood tests or give me their opinion and what not. But I also brought ideas from this board and supplements from Dr.D to them and they have said, yep and it has worked. So.... That's why I'm asking here. I'm not trying to self medicate. Although if I find particular foods and herbs that are effective at healing and on my SWAMI, I don't have a problem with trying them in normal amounts. Like Joe suggested pumpkin seeds for killing parasites. Or I've been reading about Sheeps Sorrel for general health. Etc. Etc. The more ideas, the more ammo I have to hunt these suckers down. What works for one sometimes doesn't for other and what works for a time sometimes runs out.
I have found cultured veggies on a daily basis to really help my guts. And my Doctor is really big on people getting these in their system. BUT, I'm going through a period where I feel like I just can't do them for some reason. I don't know if it's mental or physical or what. So, I'm trying to do a change up and sometimes that is good. A new set of things to try sometimes can be very effective.
I'm not really excited about taking Rx for these things. Most of them just make you more acidic, which won't help anyways. IMHO. I would do it if my doctor said it would really be beneficial, but he's yet to say that.
I'm not really sure what "messing around" is suppose to mean. I've been sincerely trying to get better through my doctors recommendations and diet for a while now. That statement implies that coming on here and getting opinions is "messing around". For what it's worth. From what I can tell, I'm squared away. I'm doing as much as I can. Including the studying I'm doing on my own. And frankly, your input hasn't helped me except irritate me a little. Sorry, I'm just being honest. It's possible I'm just being sensitive.
