swami even gives me the top indicated sups only for my physiology

other than that, I concentrate mostly on my meal plans, and eat from all my food groups, watching frequency values vigilantly

Is it too much for someone who is healthy? I only had a thyroid issue for a few months but it is resolved (Dr wants me to continue supplements for 3 more months then I'm done). My hormones are balancing out, but honestly I feel like I aged 10 years!

I am obsessed with being healthy and staying young, which is why I take the stuff Dr D recommends for Hunters and their rapidly aging genes. I guess it's all fueled by vanity.   I live in the OC after all.

I feel like maybe I am overdoing it now...
I stopped taking my liquid multivitamin because it had a ton of avoids for me...if not that would have been on the list as well. I was also thinking of taking silica....

And I eat mostly diamonds and superfoods

I've been on the gtd for three months...maybe in a few more months I'll look young again. . I did get carded for some white wine the other day though, that made me happy.

I am new a the diet but before I went on it I was diagnosed to be anemic so I take the iron pills my Dr. prescribed and those effervescent tables (1 that has multivitamines and minerals combo and 1 only for calcium). And that is it. I hope that soon I'll be doing good enough on my diet to eliminate the iron pills

I've been on the A basic 4 pack for 3 weeks now.....Before that I was a Shaklee user...and would drink Myofusion from Gaspari....

I've cut out all shakes and am doing fresh carrot juice...I do have some hemp protein and the blood type protein that I sprinkle on salads or mix in hot cereal or lentils...

I just ordered the SWAMI a few days ago and am looking forward to what it recommends.

Thanks Lola. I don't really think I need them now, mostly I took them because I was anemic and needed some B12 month ago...now I just take a B complex and eat beef everyday!   My homocysteine levels are great and I am no longer anemic.

I take mostly NAP supplements and recently I have been wondering if I have been taking too much... I take 20 on any given day. Plus, I've started to take spirulina and chlorella for heavy metal detox, given the fact that low dose radiation is becoming an ongoing reality now.

If I am following my SWAMI about 98% of the time, should I still be taking the recommended supps like Hunter 3-pack and Type O 3-pack?

I also find the Exercise and Female packages very helpful for my particular health issues.

So far I haven't had any adverse reactions to any of them.

But, I'm just wondering if I should cut back on some because it has been rather costly!

On the other hand, I understand that the minerals/nutritional content in our food today are "never quite enough" given the condition of the soil today.

Just Rhodiola Rosea regularly, plus an occasional magnesium and Explorer Catalyst.

My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant.  Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index.  DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer.

I take CoQ10--which to me is a miracle substance, as it is profoundly helpful in so many ways--every day.  I take between 30 to 100 mgs per day, usually 30.

Any time I'm feeling in the slightest run down or have been exposed to sick folk, I take Dr. D.'s Proberry Caps.  GREAT stuff.

I also have NAP's Redoxa (for lung health) and Ocubright (eye health), which I pop occasionally.

And that's about all she wrote.  My diet truly is my best medicine and doesn't require much, if anything, in the way of supplements, yay!  Winning!

I'm taking:

vitamin B-50 complex
calcium/magnesium/zinc (one pill, when the bottle recomends 2 per day)
topical magnesium oil
vitamin D
rhodiola

I try to get most of my nutrients from food. Daily I drink rose hip tea (and eat the rose hips) and add a little larch powder from Dr D to the cup. I'm not sure if I should count that as a beverage or a supplement.  I wouldn't take the calcium if I was consistent about drinking bone broth and/or eating fish bones daily.

I give my son a chewable "adult" multivitamin from Trader Joe's, but I don't give it to him daily. I also give him elderberry syrup in the cooler months. My oldest takes an adult multivitamin (not from Dr D, but as compliant as we can find locally and a heck of a lot cheaper) and I can't get my younger daughter to take vitamins at all. I try to sneak as much nutrition as I can into the bean/veggie soups she enjoys: seaweeds for iodine and nutritional yeast for B vitamins. Plus I feed them as compliantly as possible and encourage them to have plenty of fruits and veggies. It's a constant struggle with the younger two.

Except for a probiotic that I forget to take most of the time, I don't take any supplements.  I would order those my swami recommends, but I'm not employed right now and I can't afford them while we're living on one income.  DH would hit the roof if I started ordering $100+ per month of supplemlents.  If I were earning a 2nd income, I'd buy them.
