Any idea of how to make Harmonia more palatable?

I don't own it, have never tasted it. But run the problem by me. I'll give you some ideas. Is it powdery/starchy? What?

It's the taste/smell... texture is fine. I find it rather strong. I also added ARA 6 and some other diamond stuff. Just the smell makes me kind of want to puke  . I can't quite pinpoint it. I have had other green powder before, and have made my own veggie smoothies for morning consumption, but just can't get used to the taste of Harmonia.

It's an instinct. I don't analyze the ingredients this way because I wouldn't know what turns me off anyway. You're lucky that nothing bothers you, iron lady

I put it in water sometimes.. and yes it is not so nice. If I put it in pineapple juice I taste it less.

It is powerful stuff.

Sounds like a far cry from the catalogue's 'light crisp taste of freshly picked berries" and "a delicious way to introduce those fruits and vegetables". This can't be something only newly noticed; Harmonia's been around for years. Why not improve the taste?

I stuck some on my tongue at Andrea's. It doesn't matter. It's good for me. The supertaster blessing and curse. I find if I just get over it, my mind will change and my perception will change.

Or, I hold my nose. That's worked for me since I was a kid. I do that with a fermented soy drink and wash it down with water before unplugging and brushing my teeth. A little funny, but it works.

Sometimes function is more important than aesthetics.

Not when you're marketing a product as "delicious". NAP should be notified.

I also think it's recommended that you put it in something. Not on your tongue, like I did.

I'd like to know, when I spend forty bucks on a drink-powder advertised as "delicious" that I can expect the "not so nice" taste.

I guess you don't agree.

guess the only weird person here is me!!!

I drool by simply reading the ingredients in the back and knowing
these are but of the highest quality!

adding Harmonia, Ara and Live Cell in my smoothies has been a long time practice of mine......heck, I even add Intrinsa in my salads!!!

again, vive la différence!!!

Vive la différence indeed! But I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds that taste challenging. I did overcome the texture/taste of the protein powder for "O"... in fact I have grown to love it! But with Harmonia, I have actually tried many many times and still have resistance. If anybody has found a really good way to "cover" up the strong taste please let me know. I would really love to continue drinking it as it is recommended by my SWAMI and it should help me regulate my sugar craving....

I've had the same challenge with Harmonia since I got it 10 days ago.  I'm trying it for the first time.  In water--horrible!  It is a far cry (to me) from the taste of berries.  It actually tastes like eating soiled tea leaves right out of a used tea bag.  Ugh!  But, as Lola says, it's ingredients are appealing, so I've kept trying.  Here are two methods that work for me
(1)  I mix 1 teaspoon (not 2 which is what the instructions recommend) with a full glass of 100% fruit / no sugar added grape juice; or
(2)  I mix 1 teaspoon (again, not 2) with 2 scoops of Protein Powder O and 16-20 oz of Almond Milk in the mornings.  I find that neither the Protein Powder nor the Harmonia tastes good, but the combination with a lot of Almond Milk is fine.

It's not the texture--I don't mind gritty.  It's definitely the taste.  I think Type O's, especially non-secretors, will be much more sensitive to the taste of these two products.  I'm glad to have found a way to get the goodness from both of them!

It sounds like the taste is fine for Type A's, who naturally have a taste for veggies.  But for us meateaters--it's horrible!!  My Type A Mom eats a lot of stuff that my O sister, my O brother-in-law, and I find extremely bitter and yucky.  Maybe we just need a Harmonia for Type O???

This doesn't explain why Lola likes is so much, though!

spinnakertech, I will give the Protein O + Harmonia combination a try. I am not sure if I'm a supertaster... my genotype test kit said I ain't. But in this case I am! Anyway, yes, I will try 1 tsp instead of 2 tsp. But I don't drink almond milk... will have to find another solution. I tried to add some Proberry, cherry juice and carob powder this morning but this still didn't "do the trick" for me . I really wish in this case that I could exercise "mind over body" like Lola does

Re: Harmonia for Type O? Good idea!

I'm not sure if A's have a natural taste for veggies. My hubby is a Type A but due to his upbringing, he would hardly touch any vegetables on his own.

I liked it in the fresh goat milk. Drank it just fine. I did not like it in any juices but think a vanilla, banana smoothie might work I don't think the green would work with just any fruit.

Goat milk is an avoid for me on SWAMI. According to the Typebase, it is an avoid for all Type "O"s. I'm surprised you can drink it just fine, deblynn3. I have tried a thicker texture using banana or avocado, but it actually doesn't work for me

Chocolate is good for disguising many  tastes, as it has a strong taste all on its own. Carob is a much milder flavor, and while it 's quite delicious on its own, it's not as good at hiding other flavors. Maybe try throwing in a tablespoon of cocoa powder and a compliant sweetener to the smoothie with the harmonia?

As an aside- is the barley grass in there safe for Os or gluten-sensitive individuals?

How about letting it stand in juice overnight and drink it in the morning? I don't really like the taste of the protein blend when I mix and drink right away. So I prepare it in juice before I go to bed, put it in the refrigerator and take it to work the next day. Tastes better that way.
