My aunt who is Type A (secretor status unknown) suffers from sensitive stomach. She tried HCI once and she experienced pain. Now she is on BTD and starts taking Bromelain but she did not feel well with it. She tried taking after dinner and felt uncomfortable .

Should she discontinue with Bromelain and what are your advise on helping with her stomach problem ?

the more compliant she is, the better.

stop the bromelain for now...never take at the end of a meal....always with the first few bites

try warm water with fresh squeezed lemon juice 20 minutes before a meal and have her try to eat more at breakfast and less at dinner...stomachs work best in the morning between 7 and 9am

Do you mean to say that Bromelain should be taken on the start of meal even if one does not have any acid problem ?

Another question. Why does type A suffers from acid problem when they are suppose to have low stomach acid ?

Bromelain is a good digestive aid for people with digestive problems ...if one has no stomach problems then why take it

it sounds like from your aunt's acid problem she has GERD where her acid is backing up into her esophagus...many A's suffer from this even though it is more prevalent in O's...A's though have to be careful because it can develop in Barrett's Esophagus which is precancerous in nature

So keep her on a strict A diet

Avoid coffee, chocolate, black tea, sugars and  sweets which all exasperate the condition
have her cultivate a taste for green tea and spice it up with some ginger which is very good for the lining of the stomach and see if you can find some digestive bitters in the form of Gentian...5 to 15 drops in a glass of water thirty minutes before a meal

in a pharmacy ...ther's a swiss firm called: Ceres, I think this exists also in the USA and/or go for
I think it's called *swiss house or similar which produces one of the best tinctures of em ....hope I remebered it well .......they are also selling the famous herbs  called *essiac*....but that isn't of any importance...the brands name ....

I am an A with constant stomach problems. About 25 yrs. I just can't seem to eat anything. I try so hard to follow the diet but traveling and eating out makes it difficult. I cut dairy and red meat out but still have problems.

If we have low acid and can't increase our acid level what is the best thing to take.

sqeeze fresh lemon juice (one lemon) into warm water and drink 20 minutes before eating or Gentian which is a digestive bitter 5 to 15 drops in water 20 minutes before a meal

0rrr add some Betain HCL...hmmm about 250 to 300 mg's for every bigger meal, if that won't fit, augment the intake until 500mg's.....you are doing good for your brain with that stuff and also at the same time you augment your stomach acidity......
