Hi,

I have looked at WF's for amla for a vit. c source but they did not have it.

I have heard that Indian Stores carry Amla but not sure what form they carry it in.

Does anyone know what form I.S.'s carry Amla in and how to take it, etc...

Thanks!
Mickey

I believe the vitamin company, NOW, makes a good Amla vitamin C capsule.

Amla, Indian Gooseberry {Emblica officinalis or Phyllanthus emblica - Phyllanthaceae
Tribe: Phyllantheae, Subtribe: Flueggeinae}

It is in the form of a "Pickle" - But not in the sense of the Western World's vision of a pickle. More akin to the Japanese Umeboshi Pickle - In fact very similar in taste and tartness, except the Amla Pickle can be very hot depending on the brand/region it comes from.

My fave, as Japanese products tend to be very expensive in UK.

There is also an Ayurvedic Paste used for Digestion & Vitamins that is high in Amla.
"Chyawanprash" The brand I've seen is by Dabur.

Thanks for your suggestions!

I think at this point i may go with the convenience of the Now caps.  My life is just too crazy right now, so convenience is the key, but i also was going for expense but the now brand is really reasonable.
