Is it at all possible that bladderwrack might makes ones immune system to be compromised?

I started on BW supplement a month ago or so, and within a couple days caught a cold.  I did do some other things too, which might have made my immune system wonky, so at the time, I didn't think much of it.  But I am currently working on another cold or sinus infection or something (maybe it is allergies, but I really don't think so), and this is really not normal for me.  The last cold I had was 2 years ago, and about 2 years before that.

I would think that BW would increase immune system, if anything.  Any ideas?

it's a thyroid anti lectin and anti inflammatory substance...Bladderwrack actually inhibits many unfriendly bacteria and viruses from growing. including herpes, cytomrgalovirus and HIV

stop taking it for 2 weeks and see how you feel
