Hi All.. I know Aloe Vera is beneficial for A's... but is there some scientific reasoning behind this that Dr. D has done specifically discussing A's?

My husband just started drinking 2 - 3 oz's per day and wants more info.

thanks in advance!

>>>So, if you are blood type A should you avoid Aloe? Although the lectin was type A specific, it only agglutinated type A red blood cells at fairly high doses. Thus, I'd recommend type A's keep their use of aloe products to topicals and pass on the internal forms.>>>

Hey Lola.. this was from the blog you sent me...

He's only doing 2-3 ozs per day internally... do you think that would still be considered beneficial as shown in LR4YT?

funkymouse-from this blog I understand that for an A aloe should be used topically and not taken internally like it says in Live Right as a beneficial.  In the typebase it says that for an A secretor it is beneficial and for a nonnie it is neutral.  Not sure what to make of this.    It doesn't say how much was ingested either.  Hmmm...should I be telling my A buddies not to drink it also.

in the encyclopedia it is beneficial for A secretors and neutral for nonnies, also.
contains an agglutinin that modifies disease susceptibility.

I guess it is fine for your hub to take, while he s healing......then I would stop taking it, once healed.

my 0,0075 cents:

I observed that mostly A's take this stuff intuitively (clients of mine ) and I asked em how they are doing with that stuff..

it helps against all kind of virus and bacterial infections, it popps up their immunsystem, it seems that the mixup of all kinds of vits etc. does fine to almost A's (tried it by myselve and got the *quick-run*
observed the difference between colostrum & aloe ferox and colostrum pure....so & a.ferox only for A's and they feel very energized (about 200mg's of each)

that's it grosso modo

p.s.

remember...it is different when somebody is just atteinte of a maladie, or if you are in good health and shapement ....

So...to take it when you need to heal from illness is fine.  What kind of illness?  A disease, flu, cold...or all?  And once feeling better to stop, right?  Sorry, I just want to make sure of this because I have one friend who takes it everyday whether she is feeling well or not.
