I read on a health site that kelp shouldnt be taken at the same time as bladderwrack.

I eat sauteed kelp in ghee and am also taking 1 capsule of Fucus Plus in the morning & afternoon.

I dont have any thyroid issues, just taking the above to rev up my metabolism since I dont eat meat.

So what do you all think about combining the two?

I do not forsee any problems.

Some varieties of seaweed are combined together for snacks, commercial seaweed seasoning shaker mixes, (common in Korean and Japanese condiments), and recipes.

Bladderwrack is a kelp, isn't it?  I would think that would be the issue - if you were doubling on BW.  But it seems that it is a hard to find kelp - or so I've heard, so I would think it wouldn't be a problem.

I was going to bring up bladderwrack, too...  I started on a supplement that is 500 mg. and in the same week developed a great cold.   Dr. D mentions a supplement of 150 mg/daily and I think in another place 200 mg/2 times per day.  Don't quote me, the latter might be wrong.

But the question is if BW could possibly decrease ones immune system if taken too much?  Could it make polyamine levels so high that they are repressing the immune system?

I did do a bunch of stuff to my system the week that I started on BW, so that might have been the cause of my wonderful cold.
