No. As far as I know, they don't sell a straight mag. supplement. I rotate around different kinds and my current favorites are . . Magnesium Asporotate by Solaray. and Advanced Magnesium by Answers from Nature. I buy them at my natural food store. You can usually Google search and compare prices to get the best deals if you shop online. |

if taking magnesium for muscle relaxation, it is best to take it away from food (absorb it faster) and away from calcium because they compete with each other. If taking magnesium along with calcium for bone health, take with food (because the calcium is hard for the body to absorb).
What range in units would be considered normal |

I didn't know that! I've been taking both my cal/mag supplement (for bone health) at night along with the extra magnesium citrate. I'll switch things around- take plain magnesium at bedtime and then the cal/mag with my morning supplements. |

Magnesium is said to be one of the most important minerals for your body. It helps many diff. functions. I've even heard that many disorders that are seen are a result of a mg deficiency. |

Jayneeo would you keep a tab on this and see if there is a connection with the mag and dehydration. Would be interested to see if anyone else deals with these symptons. Thanks
So much great info on this thread! Will get myself and the rest of my family on it especially my B type step dad. He needs it so bad. As for dehydration with Magnesium... Magnesium is the mineral needed to help keep moisture in the bowel. Hence helping everyone with better bowel movements. If you are experiencing an increased need for water while taking Magnesium it means that your body has been dehydrated for a long time and is starting to rehydrate everything! It's a great thing! Don't stop taking your magnesium though. It won't make you dehydrated, it will just signal your body to increase the water intake because it's utilizing what water you have already added. YAY! Also for skin tags, moles and such... very excited to start using mag oil! WOO HOO! |
