I just order the supplement Fucus Plus, has anyone had any experiencing with regard to weight loss with this product.  I am a O+, I do not know my secretor status.  But, I am trying to loose maybe 7 pounds.  Does this product really work for weight loss.  I also follow the blood type but, I cheated a little and ate some wheat products (mainly cake deserts) and I put on these extra pounds.  I also stopped taking my iodoral supplements which is basically an iodine supplement.  I'm wondering if the Fucus Plus would be a better option for me since it is specifically for O types.

firstly, welcome to BTD and the forums, luluboy
secondly, are you taking these iodine supps to lose weight or do you have a thryoid prob? If it is the latter, please find something and stick w/ it. Thyroid issues can become very serious if not properly taken care of .

takes about three months to see some results if used everyday and you can help yourself by eating more foods with iodine in it like beneficial fish, kelp, and a pinch of iodized salt here and there to flavor your food

if you are on thyroid meds then you need to talk to your doctor..I would not suggest anyone take fucus if they are on thyroid medication or are suffering from acne(iodine sensitive)

Hi, thanks for your reply.  I am not on thyroid medication.  But, I started supplementing my diet with iodine, because when reading up on iodine, I came to the conclusion that I had a slight iodine deficiency, and I had all the symptons indicating there was a deficiency. I was diagnosed as being hypoglycemic, but the only thing that helps with that is eating a series of small meals per day.  I don't  know if the two are related.  I weigh 132 lbs., and I'm trying to loss approximately 7-10 pounds.  Question, when you say it takes three months to see results, what kind of results are you relating to.

luluboy,

This may sound strange as a weight-loss treatment, but I have personally found Dr. D's anti-stress and anti-inflammatory protocols to be enormously helpful in losing weight.

They're both found in his Complete Blood Type Encyclopedia but, until you know if you're a non-secretor or not, you won't be able to reap the full benefits of what he has to offer.

Fucus Plus is great, but I like O Deflect even better, as it contains both bladderwrack and a number of other ingredients that scrub out lectins from Type O systems.
