as a new blood type to the forum and having recently read several of the drs. books, i am wanting to purchase some supplements, but dont know where to start.  i understand the supps. specific for my blood type, but alot of them seem to be for anyone.  i would like something to aid in weight loss, but the fucus plus is not for type A.  the books list so many that it is very overwhelming.  also, i take a low dose of lexapro and wellbutrin and he doesnt mention if these supplements are safe with other meds.  i would assume that the supplements that promote calmness and help anxiety should not be taken with anti-anxiety meds., but i cant tell for sure.  help please.

Welcome to the forum fatcatdogbog!

I can't stress enough the importance of getting your secretor status tested.  This goes a long way towards following the correct plan for your subtype.

Do you have any other health challenges besides weight loss?  I agree that the determinator is a good place to start to see which supplements are at the top of the pile to be recommended.  In addition, if you have other health challenges, you could look at Dr. D's Protocols

Here is a guide to using the protocols.

Knowledge is power.  SWAMI gives you the diet that will unlock the key to better health, and it's all based on your unique individuality.

I agree with KK!!  Before spending too much money on anything else, invest in a secretor test.  I have found it to be the most important thing I have done to improve the quality of my life and health.

The  most important supplement anyone, secretor or non secretor should take is a probiotic which helps you absorb more vitamins from food and other supplements you might take so a Polyflora A and all A's should look into taking a bromelain supplement with every meal to help breakdown proteins especially if you feel bloaty a lot after a meal

I drink kefir quite often;  isn't this just as good as taking a probiotic ?
