can't give you lots of references here, some of my clients tried it, but it was not with really big results, I went for O's with Sam-e, an amino acid , a higher B-complex, magnesium and Enada NADH, this takes people almost very quick out of their *hole-feeling* or just the feeling in having nearly 0- energies, this works very well also together with antidepressants, because here we can't use any aminoacids. and of course...exercise and walking just do their very best in such a case for O's |

What is this 'ER' that this post below talks about?
<<<<Psst, Rose....it gets even better....

...when I first stared ER, I started taking 5htp, which I *swear* by (LOVE. LOVE, LOVE it!). I would take one in the morning, then could feel when I needed to take another capsule, I could feel the depression beastie and the cravings setting in. Sometimes it was only after 2 or 3 hours. So in the beginning, I was taking several capsules a day. Well, I stuck with the taking it in the morning (10ish) then wait to see when I need it again. Well, I'm on month six of ER and I've found I only really need that one in the morning, and sometimes not even that. I think Eating Right has normalized things in my little head and it is MUCH, MUCH better!!!!
I'm thinking one day I won't need it at all, as Edna says, my compass will point true North and yours will too! >>>> |

I didn't notice much effect at all, to be honest. I suspect Dr. D is right as usual and 5-HTP is better suited to nonnies.
B vitamins do help tremendously with depression for me. You might want to look into getting a good B complex. I also take lots of Rhodiola which seems to help as well, probably by easing the effects of stress. Nettle leaf and magnesium are also helpful. |

I've taken a good B-complex for over 2 years now. They don't seem to give me the big boost that everyone talks about. I get no effect at all from them. What about this SAM-e I've read about???? I can't remember which thread had it.... |
