I've been taking St. John's Wort off an on for a while now.  I just read on the label that you must avoid sun/UV exposure while taking it.  I'm going to Mexico in 2 weeks should I stop taking it now or stop when I go?

Hi Shelley, I'd stop a week before leaving at least, to save my sensitive and fair skin or also two weeks before. Age spots are nasty to heal or cancel !

Yes, the reason is sunspots and may be eyes protection (chataract risk is linked to sun exposition and sun glasses protect, but if eyes are oversensitized by SJV I don't know if it is enough).
