If you follow BTD there will be no need for weight loss supplements - the BTD by itself is an anti-inflammatory way of eating and will naturally help you lose weight.
Make sure and avoid the big avoids like wheat, corn and dairy and concentrate on beneficial foods and excercising for your type and you will be pleased with the results and your body will thrive.
I would be very cautious about weight loss supplements - most are probably full of avoids. Others will probably be able to give better advice.

The products in NAP's Healthy Weight Loss Pack are not just for weight loss. They are good for you for a variety of reasons and could be used beneficially all the time.
FIFHI; ISTP; Started BTD 3/2002, with 2 O- secretor teenage sons
Oh if you meant the NAP suppliments they are probably great - although I've never used them. I just followed the BTD guidelines and lost about 35 lbs and have maintained it for about a year and a half now - within about 5 lbs up or down from what I've lost.

Eating in accordance with this lifestyle will inititially allow your body to lose weight by releasing toxins out of your system. Eating at a high compliancy level, or at best, at 100% compliancy will speeden your weight loss efforts.
Paying attention to and adhering to the exercise frequency/duration guidelines for your blood type is an important factor, as well.

Breakfast: sprouted buckwheat groats or amaranth with soymilk, a small handful of organic walnuts, pumpkin seeds, or 1 teaspoon of ground flaxseed meal, and dried fruit, I add Harmonia and ARA6. I do not add any type of sweetener as the Harmonia adds a slightly fruity taste.
2 hours later: green tea
Snack: some sort of beneficial fruit
Lunch: Salad and raw vegetables with either tempeh, tofu, azudki beans, lentils, other bean/legume, miso, green beans, et al.
Another snack if I am hungry: 1 piece of beneficial fresh or dried fruit
Dinner: Lots of vegetables and salad with one slice of rye manna bread or half a serving of sprouted buckwheat groats
I drink 6 cups of water daily

Shelley, I do not take any of the supplements that you had referred to. However, I have taken alpha lipoic acid which is in the NAP supplement, ProMitokon L: http://www.4yourtype.com/prodinfo.asp?number=NP040
Is there a specific purpose in which you want to take the aforementioned supplements?

I've been sticking with BTD since Nov/06 and mostly beneficials, I would like to lose about 25 lbs. I've gone down about 5 lbs. and it's taken me this long, I would like to speed it up a bit more. I do feel the benefits of sticking to BTD, if I can just shed this excess...
Exercising right for your blood type is very important.
Maintaining and controling cortisol levels are important for blood type A's. High levels of cortisol causes stress, encourages muscle loss rather than fat loss, causes improper insulin reactions in the body.
You may perhaps want to list what you eat, drink, and any type of supplements you consume in a day/week and we will try to assist you.

Before I offer my suggestions, I want to preface that I am not a dietitian nor do I try advocate that one person's style of eating is correct for everyone. Even within the same blood groups, two blood type A's can eat vastly different from one another.
I incorporate my Christian faith, the love of my Lord, and prayer; and my zeal for incorporating precepts of wellness, healthy living, fitness, nutrition, sustainable living, and exercise in order that my own body is optimally healthy, skinny, toned, energized.
Quoted from Oonu
Breakfast: 1 slice Squirelly Bread 1/2T Peanut Butter 1 C. Coffee 1/4 C. Vanilla Soy milk Polyvite, Brewers Yeast Tab, Carnosine, Relora (cortisol reducer) Bottled Water
Since this bread contains wheat gluten, I would hold off on any unsprouted wheat product, since your health objective is to lose weight. Choosing beneficial grains over neutral grains is always a preferred option, if you decide to eat another grain for a breakfast option. Perhaps you may want to think about Essence bread, amaranth, buckwheat, whole oats, rye, et al.
What are the ingredients in your vanilla soymilk? The addition of even a minor amount of one or two avoids can hinder weight loss efforts.
What are the ingredients in the Brewers Yeast Tab--any hidden ingredients or fillers? May I ask your purpose for taking Carnosine? Instead of taking another additional supplement, you can reduce cortisol levels naturally by incorporating yoga and alternate nostril breathing during most days of the week and this does not cost you any money.
Please note that water is best if one drinks it separate from meals as liguids interfere with digestive juices; hence, this could affect efficient digestion and metabolism. One can drink liquids 1/2 hour before eating or 2 hours after eating.
Lunch: Can Wild Salmon 1 C. Green Beans Bottled Water
I would encourage you to add more vegetables and a salad. Salad contains water, which will aid with digesting the other vegetables and salmon.
Adding a small portion of extra virgin olive oil or flaxseed oil will assist with digesting your meal. For myself and according to ER and LR, blood type A's do not need alot of oil in their meals to have healthy bodies and efficient metabolisms.
How many ounces are in your wild salmon can?
Again, I encourage you to drink water away from meals.
Snack: Apple 2-3 C. Chamomile Tea
I encourage you to consider choosing a beneficial over any type of neutral food item, since beneficials act as medicine for our bodies and our bodies can metabolically digest these food items more efficiently.
Again, liquids away from meals. As well, I would probably suggest substituting the chamomile tea for green tea; green tea will assist with metabolism and detoxification. Perhaps the chamomile tea can be used later in the evening to relax or unwind before retiring to bed.
Dinner: BBQ Salmon (pinch of salt) Chopped Salad (beneficial) Lemon/Olive Oil Dressing Peppermint Tea CoQ10, Biotin, Lipoic Acid, Magnesium, Zinc (took for the first time yesterday)
What are the ingredients in the BBQ sauce. If you are using a commercial sauce, please be cognizant of any avoids.
Adding more vegetables or a large salad at dinner will assist with digestion, will cleanyour internal system by flushing out fat and toxins, will act as 'fiber' for your digestive system to 'move things along', will assist with regular bowel movements.
How much olive oil are you utilizing in your dressing? Perhaps you may want to stick with 1 tablesppon of added oil(s) to your foods daily--and make theses choices olive oli, flaxseed oil, or walnut oil.
Again, liquids away from meals.
If you are taking Polyvite, I believe this supplement contains CoQ10, biotin, lipoic acid, magnesium, zinc (but in less quantities than perhaps the single supplements that you are taking). You might want to re-evaluate if you need these additional supplements and what purpose or role each supplement is providing for you.
Snack: Chocolate not really a snack... lol
There is nothing wrong with chocolate, but I would consider using a beneficial snack such a fruit, a protein source, a mixed ratio food item of carbs, protein, fat.
Nothing to eat after 8:00 pm
Great
I've cut right back on my grains for the last few days as it was mentioned here in order to lose weight.
Cutting back on grains is not negative aspect for blood type A's. In fact, blood type A's are the designated blood group that has the most liberality with the grain/starch portion/frequency guidelines and the most options of grains/starches to choose amongst.
Overconsuming grains may cause potential problems or binging, but controlled eating of grains will not cause weight gain. I believe you can safely eat 1 portion of grains daily mixed throughout your meals or in one sitting if you can handle this amount in one sitting.
I would highly encourage you to take one NAP Deflect after your breakfast, lunch, dinner to assist with metabolism, to clean away old lectins, to assist with carbohydrate digestion, to add with digesting bacteria that has been left over in your intestines and in undigested food particles, which all can contribute and/or hinder metabolic processes.
Lastly, utilizing one serving daily of any 'greens' food powder (compliant for your blood type), utilizing a sprouted whole foods powder/supplement, drinking wheat grass juice, or taking a chlorella powder/supplement will aid with your body's natural detoxification process.

Soymilk isn't so great after reading the label! Carnosine is for younger looking skin (Isa?) I do drink after my meal not with, usually within half an hour. I've now switched my teas over. 6oz can salmon. This was a quick lunch, usually I would have a salad with my own dressing. I didn't use BBQ Sauce, just a pinch of salt, I cooked it on the bbq I guess I should have said grilled. Would you still take Deflect even if you are eating more beneficial foods or take it regardeless?
I've saved what you have posted and will incorporate all of what you have suggested into my daily routine!
Would you still take Deflect even if you are eating more beneficial foods or take it regardeless?
One can take Deflect without eating any avoid foods.
I believe the therapeutic dosage on the bottle is to take two capsules after a meal. Perhaps this would apply to after individuals who eat a meal of avoids or for those people who are very lectin sensitive.
I believe you should be fine taking one capsule after breakast, lunch, dinner.
