NAP's Gastroleve has a month's supply of bismuth in it which Dr. D says in his book should only be taken for 2 weeks. Any ideas about the reason for the discepancy? Similarly, since Ii took it before, is it advisable to take it again?

Which book are you referencing?  In all the protocols, there is a recommended time frame for the protocol, and then there is a time frame to be off the protocol before starting up the protocol again.

You can always contact NAP if you have any questions about the use of one of their products.

This is the email I just got from NAP about it:

Bismuth is one ingredient in Gastroleve.  We (at the clinic) have several patients that stay on this product for more than two weeks without complications or adverse reactions.  However they are under our care (physicians).

Bismuth subsalicylate may cause ringing in the ears, but that side effect is rare and if this should happen they should consult their physician immediately
