Hello all, I just had a really bad episode of PMS this month. I started today and finally feel better, just extremely exhausted. I was so crazy yesterday, I had almost an uncontrollable rage. It was scary, I screamed, I cried, I felt like I was going to lose my mind! Anyway, today I am just lethargic but feeling much better anger/moodiness wise. I do take maca, but less than the recommended dose on the bottle. Maybe I should up it, but I also heard about wild yam helping? Vitex? I desperately need something because I hate being this way during those times. And my hubby and sons really hate it too! Please help with comments. I do take 400 mg at night and calcium supplements about 1200 mg daily. I have always had this PMS issue, and even though I am much healthier and very consistent on BTD diet, I still struggle with this! |

Have you looked into the recommendations in the Female Balance Support Protocol? Dr D's FEMbalance is recommended. along with Squaw vine, Vit B6, Gotu Kola, and Fucus. |

Oh, and I have started adding 1 tablespoon flaxseeds to my morning smoothie as well, and it seems to be good in the a.m. Should I take another tbsp in the late afternoon? This usually seems to be when I lose it the most.

Is this even for symptoms of PMS? I am not entering menopause yet, as I am 34. |

Tina, this is not to say that you are entering menopause but I have heard of women hitting it as early as your age. PMS just stinks!!!! I remember riding home w/ Rich one day just huddled over in the corner of the truck crying. That was preBTD, so I'm *sure* what I was eating had a big part to do w/ that. How compliant are *you*? |

I am %100 compliant on the BTD. Have been for several months, with exception of apple cider vinegar, apples used to occasionally, and used to eat brown rice, now have cut all grains for the last couple months or so.
Think I am going to get the fem-balance. Give it a try!

P.S. (Don't use apple cider vinegar anymore, by the way. I am totally on only beneficial and neutral foods for o-nonnies.)
