Friends, I found the following rice protein powder from Australia. I think the ingredients look OK for the first one. What do y'all think? 1) Brand - Medifoods RICEPRO (see http://www.nutritioncare.com.au ) Ingredients - Rice Protein Concentrate Nutritional Details (/100g) Protein 80g Fat 5g Carb 15g - Sugars 0g Cholestrol 0g Sodium <5mg Potassium<5mg 2) Brand - Aminoplex Rice Protein Powder Ingredients - Rice Protein 98.5% Natural Vanilla Flavour (from Vanilla beans) 1.5% Nutritional Details (/100g) Protein 22g Fat 1g Carbs 18g - Sugars 7g (seems this is from the rice, not an added sugar (see ingredients) Sodium 28mg Potassium 39mg Phosphurus 217mg Please let me know, and thanks in advance! |

Thanks Lola, thanks shells! shells, I'm not sure really. My friend does health food and such...and I managed to get walnuts from him. Been searching high and low for a compliant protein powder to suppliment my diet, and he found me this. The link works only for practioners, however . Let me check and let you know..? I remember the pre BTD days when I used to take soy protein powders. I used to blend it with juice, and L carnitine and drink it during my exercise. Produced great results and stamina (of course who knew about the long terms effects of sucrose laden fruit juice & soy and all the other bits in the protein drink huh?), so I'm thinking whether I could follow the same method? What do y'all think? So I'm getting 2 tubs of this product. I'm very excited and relieved at the same time, coz there's a temple pilgrimage coming up very soon for 2 weeks and eggs will be totally out of the question. I wont be able to follow my structured diet & exercise routine...and it's going to be grains galore. I will be able to say no to wheat products but definitely not to rice. With this rice powder at least I'll have some supplimentation. God help me |

I would opt for the first protein powder.
Often times, natural 'flavor' in a food label constitutes corn derived products. I encourage you to contact the company or e-mail them to make an inquiry to confirm this information if corn poses problems for you.
