I am confused with all the NAP supplements - is it safe to take Both the reccomended dosage of both Fucus Plus and Deflect everyday, even though Deflect also has Fucus(bladderwrack) in it? Too much Iodine isn't necessarily good either I'm told - any thoughts? |

I don't think there is a problem; I don't think the amounts (at the recommended dosages) are going to tip you over into too much iodine. Just my thoughts. I take quite a bit of Deflect, and fucus not as much. |

Deflect can be taken daily even if avoid foods are not eaten. I take Deflect daily and I am 100% compliant to the best of my knowledge.
I do not utilize the other supplement referenced.

I take Deflect daily as well. One in the morning and one at night, along with one Polyflora probiotic morning and night. I am not 100% compliant; probably closer to 90%. |

someone posted painting the back of his toes everyday with iodine......... thought that was a very clever way of supplementing iodine. |

Interesting. Painting the back of the toes is an interesting, and easy way to get more iodine. I think a better way is to find ways to add seaweeds to the diet. ETA: Eating seaweed means you are getting the element in a balanced form: food. |

Hi kk,
just thought this might be of interest ... fail to understand the concept of toxicity that is applied by 'The determinator' graphs, because the total deflect amt is @0.4g whereas the article is saying a 'safe' level of iodine is in the 12.0g each day range. That's easily 25X as much!
If correct the increase in iodine certainly assists in numerous areas. Is 'the determinator' 100% accurate all the time?

luluboy...nori sheets are seaweed that is made into sheets (used for sushi) and are wonderful used as wraps for anything you want to put in it basically. Yummilicious. You can pick them up at your grocery store in the fish section. Debra |

I think the article said 12.5mg iodine per day... |
